His handling of the great Bus strike was a disgrace.

Bus strike has fuck all to do with him his handling of it was correct and proper .If it was a shinner they might of offered more wages to drivers but fares would then need to go up that would victimise passengers to fund drivers .Cause and effect bit like .They build a hundred thousand social houses that increases stock and lowers the value of existing houses ,that means the banks have to hold on to more of their cash as the assetts they loaned money on has lost value and banks must maintain a ratio of cash to loaned assett value .That means Banks have less money to lend so people cant get mortgages so go on the housing list and the effect of building more social housing means more people go on the housing list and its a zero influence solution to the homeless problem .In a lot of cases Ken the best thing to do is do nothing Ross is a clever man and knew this .

Your a Doob John M, you didn't see the consequences of the bus strike outside of Dooblin while Minister Shane Ross "It's not my problem Boss" sat on his hands and did nothing, the public whom he is supposed to be serving as Minister fer Transport were left without a bus service and when it came around to voting time they let their feeling be known at the ballot box.

We have Uber, erm. Rideshare will come but Free Now's Kapten brand is the most likely winner when it does... given that it already controls the client base. What Minister Ross failed to do was provide eHail infrastructure. Why he failed top do that is pretty easy to figure given that he appointed Daimler/BMUU to TAC... he sold us like slaves to big business.

Both Minister Ross and Minister Molloy were proponents of the laissez faire system. Within a socialist Republic one could reasonably expect less emphasis on the perceived need to employ multinational conglomerates to control and regulate our trade.

I guess that depends on how "that" is defined. Regulation of our trade is largely based on national legislation so there ought to be considerable scope for improvement, particularly in reversing previous administrations' pandering to big business. Ironically, one of factors that influenced Minister Molloy to deregulate the trade was the Shinners control of certain dispatch firms!
