Fare increase and Credit cards

Rumour had it that they were coming in February .I got my meter done a few weeks ago and the meter sealer  said he heard nothing about it no extra staff employed .

He got it sealed cos he never got it done when he changed cars and he's been getting threatening letters from the meter powers!!

Got a 60 yoyo fine as well .My own fault just forgot .

I'm sure we discussed this last week and the week before. The fare increase was approved by TAC and NTA last December. In the normal course of business it would have been implemented this month. However, TAC is rumoured to have instructed NTA to postpone implementation until the latter half of the year to avoid any potential confusion with Free Now's 25% freight increase and to delay the start of the next fare review process to the end of 2022 or the beginning of 2023, by which time the need to include Free Now's 25% freight increase in the taxi cost index will have eroded as drivers will have absorbed and forgotten it by then.
