Im off as a illness other then Covid-19 or other reasons (including Alcohol related)
Is laziness an illness?

Haven't worked in a few days.  Watching High Fidelity (TV show starring Zoe Kravitz) and listening to some good music afterwards.  Very enjoyable  ;D  I'm also hoping the amount of alcohol I'm drinking will kill any viruses floating around.  Its purely medicinal, I swear O:-)

Seriously though. If this got completely out of hand, would we as self employed drivers be entitled to any kind of social security pay. I know I was entitled to fukk all when I was sick, and out for nearly 3 months

Don't we pay mandatory 4% PRSI - has to be good for something?

OTOH, what about the blackmail option?  How about 10,000 taxi drivers driving around Dublin threatening the possibility of infecting any unfortunate person getting into our taxis!  And the next passenger.  And the next passenger...  F*ck some teenagers in a music room on a Saturday.  We could do some real damage  O:-)

Why do you think I kept asking for the Taxithingey to issue instructions .If they told us to withdraw our service then a case could be made that they were withdrawing their permission for us to use the Licence they issue .Making us unemployed .Then you sign on and get a Letter for the poverty officer while they process and refuse you but the Poverty officer cannot make an arbutory decision he would have to pay you .

https://www.irishexaminer.com/breakingnews/ireland/taxi-driver-who-drove-coronavirus-patient-from-dublin-airport-tests-negative-for-virus-985193.html

The taxi driver who drove the woman from Northern Ireland who was the first diagnosed case of the coronavirus on the island of Ireland has told of how he has not been asked about other passengers in the following days.

He told RTÉ radio’s Today with Séan O’Rourke show that he had driven the woman and her child from Dublin airport to Connolly Station last Tuesday and on Thursday received a call from Gardaí to ask him if he would accept a call from the HSE.

I POSTED THE LINK SO THE BIRO WONT DELETE THIS IMPORTANT PIECE OF INFORMATION LIKE IT DID WITH THE NCT INFORMATION YOU NEEDED TO KNOW
