Taoiseach the DOCTOR said ......."I need to speak to you about the coronavirus and Covid-19,".Is he talking about two different things ?Is there something they are not making Crystal Clear are there two strains of the China Cold one that murders you and one that only gives you a headache .

Coronavirus is the name of the virus, covid19 is the name of the new disease (coronavirus disease discovered in 2019)

Big Dommo went to Doctor Keane Doc says" Dommo you have testicular cancer that was the diagnosis he never said Bollok Cancer 1993  just Testicular Cancer .I remember the day he came back to the pub and told us, Billy the bastard said thats  not funny ,Dommo  said what do you expect me to do laugh me bollox off" I said you might as well their coming off anyway "We pissed ourselfs laughing .

And you shall . . . make a distinction between the unclean and the clean, and between the edible creature and the creature which is not to be eaten.  Leviticus 11:46-47 (NASB)

Some of the animals that were unclean were the camel, rock badger, rabbit, and the pig. They could eat any of the fish with fins and scales. Among the birds, the eagle, vulture, buzzard, kite, falcon, raven, ostrich, owl, sea hawk, little owl, great owl, cormorant, pelican, stork, carrion vulture, heron, hoopoe and bat could not be eaten. Among the insects, they could not eat were those that walked on four legs, except for the cricket, locust, and grasshopper. The following were also unclean: the mole, the mouse, the great lizard in its kind, the gecko, the crocodile, the lizard, the sand reptile, and the chameleon. Leviticus 11 provides a more detailed list.

Arachnids are arthropods that have four pairs of legs. Centipedes are also arthropods, but not insects: they are in a subphylum called the Myriapoda.

It's a long read but might interest some.
TL;DR:  Mass testing is better than mass lockdowns.

Italy and South Korea were hit by coronavirus outbreaks at the same time - but have responded differently (World Economic Forum, 13 Mar 2020)

Quote
In Italy, millions are locked down and more than 1,000 people have died from the coronavirus. In South Korea, hit by the disease at about the same time, only a few thousand are quarantined and 67 people have died. As the virus courses through the world, the story of two outbreaks illustrates a coming problem for countries now grappling with an explosion in cases.

Italy and South Korea have similar populations.
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

Here is the equation Lockdown or No lockdown .The aim is heard immunity so you accept everybody will get it and build immunity or die simple as .How it works lockdows slows down the infection speed so extends the epidemic but controls the event or no lockdown and let the whole lot get it and get it over with .The only question is moral can we accept 10,000 deaths in a month or 10,000 over a year .The danger of mass extinction is mass rebellion and the overthrow of the State by panicked peoples .The antidote to panic is the wash your hands advice which is designed to downplay the seriousness of the virus ,if people think clean hands is all it takes to keep then safe then so be it I wouldnt walk under a ladder on friday the 13th .

Hal im insolvent  emptied me account and maxed out me Credit card to help our kid get a Mortgage I can survive about 3 weeks Credit card not getting paid and chances are car loan wont be paid either just the insurance .Me hen is on restricted hours .I think lads should consider what they can get away with delaying payment on and Prioritize the others .Unlike the Bank collapse this is a monetary momentary event unlike 2008 we will bounce back immediatly after we get the all clear .I would like to just say dont panic if you owe coin the banks wont really mind they know there is money around unlike 2008 .

Why is Europe the focus of attention for this disease when it started in China? Rome must fall again...
