I see someone's already mentioned the phone number.  You only need a Gov ID if you go through the MyWelfare.ie website.

Application notes and form can be downloaded here:  https://www.gov.ie/en/service/be74d3-covid-19-pandemic-unemployment-payment/

Important
You DO NOT NEED to go the Intreo Centre, you can apply in the following ways:
1. An application form for the new Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment can be downloaded from our website www.gov.ie/jobseekers and returned to FREEPOST PO BOX 12896 Dublin 1;
2. You can apply for Jobseekers support through our online portal www.MyWelfare.ie, (you will need a Public Services Card); or
3. Phone us on 1890 800 024 or 01 2481398 and we will send you the relevant application form for the new payment.

You will need to find an envelope though  :o

Thanks

This might sound like a dumb question but what exactly is a class S contribution.I know we pay one but how long does it take to pay one of them and is it a fixed amount of money to have one.

I think this Covid payment will be extended beyond the six weeks so it won't be an issue if we don't have enough contributions.

I checked them on my mygov account and i've contributed 52 per year for the last 18yrs,i was able to check my PRSI contributions back to when i started work in 1980.

Yes but Class S (self-(un)employed) contributions don't qualify.... unless there are special provisions in force or planned?

S class contributions do count.

To qualify for Jobseeker's Benefit, you must satisfy two main PRSI contribution conditions.

Condition 1

You must have paid at least 104 PRSI insurable employment contributions at Class A, H or P,

or

You must have paid at least 156 PRSI self-employment contributions at Class S.

Additionally you cannot continue in self-employment (so have to surrender your PSV licences) and you have to have made 52 contributions in the relevant tax year i.e. 2018. Furthermore your payment will be reduced if your average weekly earnings for the relevant tax year (2018) was below €300. Assuming average weekly earnings is based on a 52 week year I'm slightly above 3 ton before capital allowances and slightly below after capital allowances.

If you only qualify for a reduced payment, it may be of greater benefit for you to claim Jobseeker's Allowance instead of Jobseeker's Benefit (Self-Employed).

In the case of Jobseekers allowance there is no requirement to surrender your licences and there is no restriction on working on a self-employed basis.

Only applies age 18-66. State only gives one SW payment.

I think you applied for the wrong payment .You do NOT have cov 19 therefore do not qualify for the payment for self isolating .

If'n the Doc tells him to self isolate (even over the phone fer Free) then he is entitled to his 305 fer 2 weeks.

The Doc sends off all the medical paper work on his side, easy dough !
