Looks like the main priority of law enforcement is dealing with the fallout from this fear and panic. You can be sure there'll be many incidents in car-parks and on the roads when people start fleeing from one corner of a tiny island to the other. I can't see discs being important tbh........a driving ban will probably come in very soon.

The FDB option says "As stated above, both options 1 and 2 are conditional on a mandatory government shutdown of SPSVs/Taxis."  I think I'd wait until the NTA puts something official on their website before I did anything.

I'm with Axa anyways so doesn't apply to me.

I wouldn't be waiting on the NTA to do fukall with regard to taxis...we're only a revenue stream for them, yes they do give grants but only if you're prepared to get into debt to receive one.

I doubt the NTA will issue a directive to taxi drivers if bus and Luas are off they will need an alternative as we are self financing it will be at our discression if we work or not .As we do not know if you have the viruse once are you imune therefor the NTA would be or could be preventing viable workers from engaging in their lawfull trade /Remember it was the Vintners who closed the pubs not a SI issued by government Im sure TTna H will represent their billions of drivers in ant court case for loss of earnings due to NTA directives .

It's all about personal responsibility John....and regardless of what you think of the govt, they're right,we will be an Italy or Spain if people in certain industries continue as normal....i'm feeling a bit under the weather at the mo due to my diverticulitis,i've started a course of antibiotics that i had here but if i contract the virus i don't know what affect it could have on me...i'm staying off for a while, have sent off the form for the emergency payment with "social distancing" as the reason why my self employment has stopped.

That sounds fair enough.  They probably wish they could keep us smelly feckers out of the office all year round   :D

Public transport including Taxis coninue to operate in Italian and French cities that are in "lockdown"  not that there is much for them to do.
https://www.thelocal.it/20200310/are-there-taxis-your-questions-about-the-coronavirus-quarantine-rules-in-italy

Sidenote: NTA had no problem sending a €250 bill for PSV driver licence renewal on Friday so they don't give a fuck the cnuts, included a note saying it increases to €300 or €400 depending on how late you might be paying it
