Just read this on another taxi site. Not sure how true it is but it looks possible we can cancel our policies and not be penalised when and if we go back to work.

Been on to Axa at 11.30, had two choices. Suspend the policy and keep paying premium until I start working again and then get a refund or surrender the policy and come back to Axa when work begins again. Chose to surrender policy Letter, Disc and Policy has just been posted through the office door.

Keith McLaughlin thanks for the info and well done. Did they say your no claims bonus will remain intact?

Andrew O'Shaughnessy they said no penalties when I come back.

Did you get a refund ?

But this also means tou cannot use your car for social pleasure either surely ?

I'm gonna go as a named driver on the missus policy and just drive her private, non taxi, ordinary car to bring the dog up the mountains so she can shit in peace.
Is she a bit embarressed to shit in public ?
Who ? the Dog or the Missus ?

who knows if its a good idea or not but I am choosing to just read the good news regarding the virus, there was a thread on the virus that i was looking at a bit too much for a couple of days, I haven't looked at it in a week and I wont be ever looking at it again. I feel so much better, when they talk about it on the radio i switch the station or turn it off.

I know im sticking my head in the sand about it but I honestly feel way better and it is working for me.

I genuinely think we will be ok and cant understand why some people seem to enjoy telling everyone how we are all doomed.

Mental health is important you can get bogged down in the detail .I posted here earlier and the usual fucktards were waffeling .Dont bother paying your credit card or car loan get in touch with them they will understand .If you are offered 3 months Mortgage break take it .Dont mind all the bolloxology about future payments deal with them in the Future .Get in enough grub to do you for a few weeks .Talk to people by phone or internet .Get out and about walk the dog or just get out for some head space .When the kill rate goes up and it will remember most news you read now in the past and in the future will be bad news .Dont know if people ever realised why there is such a large amount of the Newspaper given over to Sports .The reason is thats where the good news is reported the Winners and even the glorious losers .MIND YOUR HEAD stress and worry will reduce your immunity .If your at home knock off the telly and break out your CD collection .

Don't stick your head in the sand Italia....but at the same time don't be listening to or reading those whatsapp messages....a mate of mine was reposting them on the lads group chat....i basically told him to stop posting that shite,i'm expecting that tougher decisions and possible restrictions will be made but i'd feel a better sense of relief if there is so we don't become another Italy or Spain,
I went shopping this morning (10am)in Aldi and Tesco,Aldi was pretty quiet and well stocked as was Tesco....i think all that panic buying has died down for the time being but i await another whatsapp "take this as gospel lads!!" message anytime soon!!

I went to Tesco last night at 7 q outside so fucked off to Supervalue off licence and went home .Tesco 7am in Clondalkin her and me were the only customers .Spoke with the manager he said they had 10, 40 foots during the night no shortage of goods .I complained about price gouging on certain items he said the suppliers are hiking prices Tesco carry the stock for customers to decide if they want to buy or not .He said some suppliers actually rent shelf space off Tesco and they set the price especially washing powder and cleansing products and breakfast cerials milk and bread the suppliers deliver and load their own product in shop .
