@RC its ok for now considering the circumstances, but its dropped around 50% but because a few taxis have gone into hibernation the drop isn't as drastic, if the full fleet was on it would be 80% drop. I'll tread carefully going forward, I'm super aware and will mention that I have tissues if you want to hold one just incase.

I'm happy to stay off as I'll only be down a couple of hundred a week by taking the scratcher.Cant spend money if everything is closed. So for now I'll happily extend my Christmas holidays for another couple of months.

And to the drivers who claim they can't live on social welfare I suggest yous stop trying to live like rockstars.Eventually, the rest of us will trickle back on to the streets out of boredom and you will have much more competition. It will be ugly.

I'm working, I've got my hand sanitizer, and a fine mist spray bottle with a mixture of 70% isopropyl alcohol and a few drops of tea tree oil for spraying on door handles, seatbelts and around the place where someone sat, plus I have gloves and where possible they sit in the back. And if someone sneezed without covering I'd stop breathing and get out of car and spray the fine mist 70% isopropyl all over. The European epicentre of the virus Italy, all the taxis and buses are still running. They are also running in Spain, France and Germany. Plus I only look at the news one a day to keep your sanity.
Covid 19 is transmissible via the eye sockets, are you wearing suitable eye protection?
Death toll in Italy has increased from over 400 to over 3,000.

Many drivers could not survive on 2-300 pw. There is a valid argument that if someone takes a taxi, they are aware of any risks and are responsible for their own health/precautions, face touching/sanitiser/gloves/hand washing etc. Likewise the driver, and as C5 says, up to 3 always in the back with the same precautions applicable.
At least they'll die with a good credit rating! 8)
