I'm not seeing any pressure.Taxi drivers don't give a fuk about anyone long before the corona crisis started.

I was agreeing with his statement......he's saying others shouldn't be criticising those who want to get out and help people...

There's definitely a degree of misunderstanding. Some posters seem to think Govt/HSE is trying to stop the spread of the disease and that they are immune if they just potter around supermarkets and hardware stores soaking up cough and sneeze droplets while they mock men who are serving the community from a distance. In fact Govt/HSE is trying to slow the spread to manage demand for funeral/healthcare services, not stop it.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

No ambiguity anywhere.....they've been replacing us for yrs....just some are too thick to notice or too afraid to admit it. Being well-fed and conditioned to warmth, light and caring medical pro's makes us indigenous people very weak and susceptible to delusions of invulnerability.

When will be able to work again in a virus free job?

This is the easiest question ever posed ....never, obviously!

Make sure you have your flu jab and use good hygiene practice and you might escape virus free, but odds are you won't.

There'll very likely be new strains of coronavirus and others to test humanity also

Seven strains of human coronaviruses are known, of which four produce the generally mild symptoms of the common cold:

Human coronavirus OC43 (HCoV-OC43)
Human coronavirus HKU1
Human coronavirus NL63 (HCoV-NL63, New Haven coronavirus)
Human coronavirus 229E (HCoV-229E)

– and three, symptoms that are potentially severe:

Middle East respiratory syndrome-related coronavirus (MERS-CoV), previously known as novel coronavirus 2012 and HCoV-EMC
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV or "SARS-classic")
Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2), previously known as 2019-nCoV or "novel coronavirus 2019"
The coronaviruses HCoV-229E, -NL63, -OC43, and -HKU1 continually circulate in the human population and cause respiratory infections in adults and children world-wide.

You don't need one.....you're young, gorgeous (so I'm told), fit, active and childless (kids're the ones that'll kill them).....why look to me for positivity?

Govt aren't even trying to prevent the spread, they're focussed on managing the speed of transmission. Everyone is going to get it and based on HSE figures:

https://www2.hse.ie/conditions/coronavirus/coronavirus.html

80% will have mild illness and make a full recovery within a few weeks
14% will have a more severe illness
6% will have a critical illness
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Should we be asking ourselves when is the best time to catch this?
When are you likely to get the best treatment? (not be fucked off a ventilator because someone fitter and better looking needs it)
Start ..... Middle ... or ....................end
I've heard/read that the illness is worse based on the dose received for example if you are the 3rd in your close family to succumb you're more likely to be struck hard?
the wheel is rolling make your choices ............... sorry time's up!

ignore all of the above it's just social media nonsense.

It's an interesting conundrum. Get it early while HSE have the capacity to deal with you or hold on in the hope of more effective treatments materialising?

I guess the sensible answer is follow Govt/HSE guidelines and take it as it comes.

I'd like to catch it now and self isolate more. But there's no guarantee you won't get it again three months from now.

Not sure on that one. I did hear a UK professor say there's no conclusive evidence to suggest a person can catch it twice but that was a week ago... and may not take into account different strains/manifestations.

I wouldnt be worrying about when we get back to work just that you can get back .After this money wont matter Inflation will wipe out your debt and your savings .This is just an upgrade of consciousness an end to the 3D world we inherit now after this we will be open to a greater consciousness to more human interactions and considerations a rebirth of religion where a Godhead will replace money as the end for your effords .

This could be nonsense but I believe your body builds up an immunity for a period of time but it could switch off if it doesn't feel threatened.

The virus could easily mutate but that's another more serious matter.

I think a lot of vaccines are based on the lightning doesn't strike twice theory?
