There will be lots of us defaulting on our tax liability this year.Mostly freenow ambassadors.Could be good for those who can remain.
I don't think Revenue will want us to cough up!

Just responded to a post on FB saying how great free taxies are ... A lot of taxi companies are playing a PR game exposing drivers who cannot Self Distance due to the size of their vehicles to exposing both themselves and their passengers to infection .Dont fall for this vile self promotion its your health too .

It's the drivers who do it on a voluntary basis ....its expected of freenow and radios companys not to give 2 fuks especially sitting in the safety of ther office .....but for a driver to volunteer to work for nothing and put himself at risk and his family and potentially spread this killer virus ....just confirms wat I already knew.....there an awful lot of thick cnuts driving taxis out there

Plus wan.
How many taxi jobs have Kearns, Ebbs, O'Callaghan, Kelly done themselves to prove to other drivers it's safe to do so?

Thanks for your concern about whether I can pay my tax this year!
Truth is,I've already paid 3k in preliminary tax and have 2 in my tax savings account,so 2019 is fairly near to being boxed off.For 2020,I can't see a huge liability if I'm out for 6-8 weeks.

Seriously get an accountant You are renting paying huge insurance and thousands in comission and you have an actual tax liability .Are you paying an accountant or self assessing .

I probably won't pay my own if it can be deferred.Depends on how quickly things return to normal.

We've never had to have  tax clearance 12 months a year before or had so much card/account work so it's a valid concern for many lads.

Certainly there will be people defaulting on their tax liability, but these are not normal times.the situation I brought up was carried out in normal times

2019 return is submitted this year... not everyone pays preliminary tax.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

So you have to pay in full when you file for 2019 later this year. Full-time men working for Free Now could owe very significant sums, that's what MfH was getting at.

I did know that but we're talking about 2019. Next year is 2021... hope that helps!
