Do we still have to apply within 6 weeks for continued payment or has this new 12 week 350 payment superseded the original.

Hal just wait it out.600000 people could be applying for this payment.Many will have no clue and the government will advise us like children in due course.

I won't be in a hurry to apply for anything after this if the city is allowed to reopen.This is free money to stop us wrecking the place.

Dalyer you should apply immediately for the 12 week payment even if they pay you the 2 weeks illness benefit. You can do it online in 5 minutes.

You need an email account, pps number and your iban and bic details for your bank account. you do not requre the public services card to apply for
the emergency payment.

Go to the following link, press the orange button 'Apply Now', scroll to the bottom and click on 'Create Acount'. you enter your email and password, they
will then send out to you email a five digit code and you need to enter to verify the email. once this is done. you can login in and enter your pps and
bank details. Do it online, it should miles quicker than fecking snail post.

@sore,
That's a change to last weeks page,you couldn't apply online but only download the original Covid-19 Emergency Payment form for the €203 payment,
I still haven't received any payment as per other posters but i'm sure they're busy.

First page of the process it says

You will get a payment of €350 per week. The Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment will be in place for 12 weeks. You must be aged between 18 and 66 to qualify.

Last page of the process it says:

This is an emergency payment

Please make a full jobseekers application form (UP1) within the next six weeks, forms are
available on www.gov.ie/deasp This Payment will only last for a maximum of SIX weeks.

very odd
