First page of the process it says

You will get a payment of €350 per week. The Covid-19 Pandemic Unemployment Payment will be in place for 12 weeks. You must be aged between 18 and 66 to qualify.

Last page of the process it says:

This is an emergency payment

Please make a full jobseekers application form (UP1) within the next six weeks, forms are
available on
www.gov.ie/deasp This Payment will only last for a maximum of SIX weeks.

very odd

That last line has been deleted from the updated website; https://www.gov.ie/en/service/be74d3-covid-19-pandemic-unemployment-payment/

I applied about an hour ago, it says 12 weeks on the first page of the online application and 6 weeks on the final page

Dalyer you should apply immediately for the 12 week payment even if they pay you the 2 weeks illness benefit. You can do it online in 5 minutes.

You need an email account, pps number and your iban and bic details for your bank account. you do not requre the public services card to apply for
the emergency payment.

Go to the following link, press the orange button 'Apply Now', scroll to the bottom and click on 'Create Acount'. you enter your email and password, they
will then send out to you email a five digit code and you need to enter to verify the email. once this is done. you can login in and enter your pps and
bank details. Do it online, it should miles quicker than fecking snail post.

I applied by post last weekend so I cannot see the online application, but you can be sure it is 12 weeks and highly unlikely that you need to fill out the job seekers thing. And you can still work casually/temporarily.

If this is a taxable payment, some of you lazy cunts might end up owing more tax than if you were working!

story on the news says, because no govt is yet formed, this COULD have create a delay in passing legislation which as you know needs to happen before payment can be made
