Discounts drivers are being asked to take on board are now at 35% for hospital staff.
Still not as high as Blue Cabs who were offering 37% discounts to hospital accounts, or National Radio  cabs who were offering jobs at 42% discount allegedly.
That's on top of freight at €104.00 plus extra charges in Blue Cabs.

I have a pain in me bollox always hearing on here about this dispatcher is offering this much doscount,that dispatcher is offering that much discount,or the other dispatcher is offering another amount discount.do none of you realize these dispatchers offer NO DISCOUNT .its YOU the drivers who are offering the discount.they are making offers to the public on your behalf.why the fukk do you agree to it ? To be fair, if it wan't for Tommy Gorman a lot of us would never have got mortgages.

Tommy did figures for my mortgage after TDS and just before NTUI/NTDU formed. He had started a new association in the interim.  I also received 200 from NTDU when I was out of action in 2006 despite my arguments with Tommy over the years . I thanked Tommy at the Park Vigil and his response was  "A man down is a man down ". Have to respect that.

I know I used to slag Tommy Gorman (aka Red Hurley to his women admirers). He did make some good tax returns for me and I am glad that he got a good pension out of it in the end…I think he was the best spokesman of the Unions but that would not be hard.

Despite SIPTU TBs somewhat selectively contradictive policies when it came to double jobbing and such like I still think Jerry Brennan was among the best spokesmen we had but John Ussher (RIP) and Vinny Kearns were certainly capable and, to be fair, Frank Byrne was very effective in the many radio interviews he done representing TDFC/ITC/etc. I don't see much competence in today's crop... mostly loudmouths with little or nothing between the ears.
