We would like to say thank you for your responses to the survey we sent out last week. 87% of drivers said that they would be interested in giving HSE workers discounted travel to and from Irish hospitals.

I imagine it may have been 87% of the drivers who took the survey, I for one did not.

100% they are only digging the hole deeper for themselves as now with incoming World recession Freenow can do what they like.Fools can't see the noose slowly tightening and being drained till nothing left.Its 75% off as fuel insurance and maintenance.Maybe Tescos and Dunnes will follow with 50% off to feed us ??

I have never filled out a questionaire, nor do I play their "games". I cant imagine how anyone could be naive enough to give that kind of discount and take the financial hit (in these already hard times) just so that FN can clap itself on the back in their P.R. and ad campaigns.

Ok I'll be nice about it this time I wont criticize drivers because I'm sure that is where I must have being going wrong.I'm begging ANYONE on here to explain to me how F/N ,or any other dispatcher,can make such an offer to the public ,when YOU,th drivers are in control ? I really genuinely do not understand.you ,the taxi drivers of Ireland control your industry,at least thats the way it should be,so why do you allow a 3rd party to have a controlling interest in tour business.I genuinely do not understand .maybe I'm missing something here

The survey was probably sent to their top 50 earning drivers who were too afraid to refuse their boss by saying no,as someone posted above add in fuel, insurance, wear and tear etc to the 50% and you're risking getting the virus  for virtually nothing off someone going or coming from hospital.

I certainly saw no survey.

I've seen the email earlier this morning and thought about it and the only word I can come up with fer FN is DISGUSTING !

It is a Disgusting offer to suggest that they do not take their 15% commission which basically means that they lose absolutely nothing but instead gain from it as a PR stunt which will look good fer them when all this is over.

And then they ask the Taxi drivers to take a 35% hit on the fare of what is quite likely to be a contaminated passenger while they themselves cocoon themselves and close their doors to us.

No offer of any kind fer PPE fer drivers to collect on a drive-by basis or by post. No offer of any kind of benefit at all if perchance you contact the virus while working and cannot work fer a few weeks or even die.

IT IS AN APPALLING, DEMEANING AND DISGUSTING OFFER !

About the survey I got it because I'm on their system as a city center driver probably going on where I live and work mostly.I'm kinda near to the Matter.Not an Ambassador or a high earner.

The survey had stuff about delivering hospital equipment and medical deliveries so some who may have been interested had probably no intention of carrying passengers.They threw that stuff in to skew the survey.So it's all bollix.

So Big Dommo called over this morning with Smoked Kippers and Bucks Fizz for breakfast we took it out on the back Lawn .The smoked fish greatly complimented the Champagne and Orange Juice but I digress with my breakfast menu .Dommo was wondering .One of the requirements for getting a WAT licence is you are AVAILABLE to transport Wheelchair patients so if you drive a WAT and suspend your insurance you are no longer meeting the Licencing requirement so are you invalidating your licence .Unlike a saloon licence which a Supreme court judge ruled you do not have to operate .

I guarantee inspite of all the comments posted postedhere about free now,as soon as they open their doors again,the drivers will go flooding back.at least I have said all along I would NEVER  let any dispatcher get his claws into my business,and I never have.why do you become so called self employed business men if you need someone else to run your business for you ? Dont think for one minute your in control of your own destiny because your not.dispatchers own you,and you gave them that power over your business.I sincerely hope ( although I doubt it) that this whole virus will bring ALL dispatchers to their knees,and hopefully even put some of them out of business.then I have no dou t you will come to the realization that they were never needed in the first place
