Drivers can choose whether they wish to participate or not. I suspect many of those who are maintaining a service are doing so for reasons other than financial. If that's not the case Free Now won't be able to cover the work. Once again, fair play to those drivers who are providing a service. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

Don't know why you're laughing about a medical fare from Monkstown-ish to Sth Gt Georges St on a Fri night for €8. 

I'll never forget the amazing treatment I got from a nurse one Fri night on Georges St.  Cured my nerves, I'll tells ya  O:-)  Ended up with a bad back though :(


On a serious note, why are youse all still logging into FN?  The more they see us logging in, the more FN will think we're itching to go back working with them.  Stay away from FN and 'enjoy' the €350 if you're getting it.

I was just thinking how would we be able to know if a HSE ID badge was the real thing?

If I used lots of taxis I'd make something up on the computer and laminate it.Taxis drivers wouldn't have a notion.

From what I understand you select "medical" on the booking app then show HSE ID to the driver.Recipe for disaster.Glad I won't be working.

Medical could be a surgeon on €8,250/hour, a GP on €720/hour, a pharmacist on €180/hour or an immigrant care worker on €6/hour.

Within a few weeks Freenow drivers will be expected to give a minimum discount of 25% or more to ALL passengers and guess what they will do it as they scoffed the free Fish & Chips.Freenow drivers take any job as any job is better then NO job ,as they mostly have big loans on Breadvans and Prius cars

The lads on Indian & Pakistan group said that 2 are sick in Hospital. 1 not doing to good and on a ventilator.Thats from group on WhatsApp.Id say nextweek or next 5 days. we get a better picture .Another Irish lad on Taxi groups on Facebook got it but is lucky he getting better on Taxi Industry Ireland..

First day in hospital, I tested positive for covid 19. No idea how I contracted the virus, I'd been self isolating for 9 days prior to getting I'll. I'm a taxi driver since June 2000. The second pic is me leaving the hospital 6 days later. Stay home, stay safe and dont risk working I'm one of the lucky ones. I made a full recovery.

I saw earlier on the FN Facebook advert some replies to questions, they said the offer is not limited to HSE workers, it includes all medical frontline workers, (who else uses taxis now?).. and it’s for any use, not just going to and from work.
So it’s basically a 50% off for say.. 70% of their current clientele at all times!
Soon they’ll probably include “friends and family “...
and before anyone asks..: yes, my stickers are off
