The Taxidrivers supported this Company and built it, and now you see the fruits of what they can do.I really don't know what to say, as I dont drive for Freenow or never will.All I can say is 50% discount, the maths don't add up, as its not viable to run a taxi at that level of discount.Maybe Freenow drivers should try and talk to the management and ask why?

If F/N owned the cars, and the drivers were actually employees of that company, then yes, of course they would have the right to make such an offer to the medical staff, or anyone else they like. But thats NOT the case is it ,? the drivers own the cars, the drivers ARE NOT employees, the drivers own their own businesses, yet the drivers allow 3rd party intervention in the running of THEIR business  . That's like me saying to you big Dommo is a very generous bloke, he would give you MY last penny. If I lived to be a 1000 years old , I'll never understand the logic taxi drivers who are aligned to a dispatcher apply to their business

Just looking at the job VD put up....it looks like it's way too cheap but jobs like that were commonplace back ten years ago for drivers not getting the PUC and offering discounts.

Freenow know when things go to shit some drivers will jump all over this type of work.

I think the whole world should know what a wonderful caring company FreeNow  really is !  And the ability of their decision makers to see the bigger picture and not be reactionary and grasping for short term gain. They are to be  to be applauded   

It's a masterpiece of  clear thinking ...........  offering  huge discounts  (that cost them nothing)  to one of the few  groups of employees that are still earning when  nobody else has a penny  and to one of the few groups  who have any real job security when everyone else is wondering if they'll ever work again .

As well as me, I'd say free now are also laughing their bollox off. They are saying to themselves how thick taxi drivers really are. They own the business , and we make the rules. You can't write this stuff. They are sitting at home saying to themselves the drivers own the cars, the drivers own the taxi business , the drivers operate the licence, the drivers do the work, and we tell them what they can charge . It's hard to believe drivers cannot see it oh I give up

You'd have to be tapped or they (Free now) have  compromising photos of you to get involved in this fukkin charade,I seriously  hope they are  looking in (pretty certain they do) to see how unhappy anybody who ever downloaded their driver ap feels..

I would be surprised if after all this is over they don't raise their commission to 20% and use the excuse that because of the downturn in the economy and in order to advertise for more work and secure more lucrative contracts for the drivers that it is necessary to raise the commission to 20 % to fund these campaigns.  They may even go as far as to say they'll raise commission to 20% for ambassadors and normal drivers will be 22% thus forcing drivers to become ambassadors.  I for one am finished with them. Their greed and sheer lack of respect for drivers,  the very people who pay their wages has reached tipping point. I'm not waiting for them to up the commission,  fcuk em, I'm done.
