Uber not paying up.
« on: April 03, 2020, 11:19:28 am »
"Uber promised to pay drivers who couldn't work because of the coronavirus. But drivers say Uber has been closing their accounts after they seek sick pay, and then ignoring or rejecting their claims."

Uber have $20 billion in the bank ($10 billion of it is cash).  They actually are asking the US Govt for aid for their 'partner' drivers because the cheap fuks don't want to spend their own money  >:D

This crisis might be a bonus for Uber.  Uber can't keep their drivers.  Most of their drivers leave within 6 months so they need a constant supply of new drivers who don't realise what they're getting into.  And with 10 million Americans losing their jobs in the last 2 weeks, a lot of them will be looking for work, any work.
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

Anybody get any wages from Free Now having stopped working on account of the virus?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Are cab companies still paying employer PRSI and pension contributions, or worse still, charging freight to drivers risking life and limb?
The world needs to know!
