When we back in work?

Doing Sums .Country cant afford to pony up Dole and Keep your workers employed money for more than 3 months .Recon they will wait till the  sums of how many are dieing  how many are getting the thing divided by how much it cost dosent make any sense anymore .Recon construction jobs will be back in 6 weeks with social distancing officers on site .Then shops reopened with social door men on site .restaurants will reopen with tables per square meter restrictions and family groups only served .Hotels will reopen without bars but probably room service for porter .Government need to get tax dollars in so the decision will be economic not medical .Schools wont reopen till september and the leaving cert will be split teacher grades for ridicilous subjects and exams for stem subjects only ,allow the smart kids get graded .

Wouldnt be surprised if government announced huge social housing and roads projects .Big increases in excise duty on smokes, gargle, fuel ,increase in property tax .social charge .As the Rodent said they cant stop it just control the spread .In 3 months they will know the dearh rate per thousand if its acceptable then they will lift the embargo and then its everybody dance now and see what happens they can always invent a second wave narative if needed .

They will come under a different catagory of Personal maintenance .Rule will be you go if you want to go but we are not telling you to go .Taxi journeys will probably be in the same catagory .Cant see the lockout lasting more than 12 weeks .But the bad news is BREXIT .

Banks will be very weary about giving loans out ,loads of doom and gloom on media. The bookies are at 95% certain of a recession lasting 2 to 3 years after virus.People won't travel or go to restaurants or bars.We have very challenging times in the Taxi Industry, very different to 2008.

Raiding funds won't work, as it will be a Global Economic problem.Nightmare stuff and unchartered waters as Tourism is a massive part of Irelands GDP

yes of an account with nothing in it.

this isnt cyprus, there would be riots here if they touched our money like that. taxes are one thing but actually robbing our bank accounts is another. in fairness Ireland is a civilized country John, that isnt going to happen.

no idea but you said they will raid bank accounts over 30k.

I just cant see them ever going after the  savings in our bank accounts, maybe if sinn fein or some other left party was in power but not fianna fail or fine gael.

They can tax us to the gills but stealing money from our accounts isnt gonna be a runner.

I said 30 because wise heads dont keep more than 100 in their account no money to be made @100k so 30K seems logical cut off .
