Post Covid19 Will there be any taxi work?
« on: April 12, 2020, 05:49:10 pm »
What happens to the Taxi industry after Covid19 passes??.Will it be worth while still driving a Taxi?.All those Naanvans and prius drivers will be back in force.Where does it leave us?.Maybe time to hang the boots up?.Im looking at all angles, as with insurance and repairs, the maths won't addup and zero tourism to add to it.Its all just facts .We ALL need to sit back and look at the bigger picture .What will we do?

It certainly won't be just like flicking a switch for the economy to return to normal and might take a bit longer for the taxi game to get back up to speed....might be a new speed though,
You couldprobably survive if you have fukall overheads but running a joe isn't cheap either.

I have been telling all of you this is not a full time job for a man with a mortgage or single income .Get another part time gig .Parcel delivery will boom as shops shut and people buy with credit on line .Team up with a mate get a Van do deliveries and share the taxi as well .

Even with fukall overheads, it might not be viable.Could we parkup taxi and get Jobseekers?

who knows what the future holds, it is best not to always think the worst will happen. There is going to be a boom when the pubs re open, you will be busy then anyway. if I was ye I wouldnt be working for free now though. if you dont have  a dublin licence, you shouldnt be able to work in dublin via free now. I reckon it will be easy enough as well to get people to switch from free now to one of the other app's if ye want to work for one of them companies. people wont have any loyalty to freenow, why would they?

are you not getting the 350?
