Taxis helping drug deliveries during lockdown
« on: April 15, 2020, 05:52:38 pm »
Dealers use takeaways to keep drugs on the menu

Quote
Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on thousands of legitimate businesses all over the country but illegitimate businesses such as gun running, drug trafficking and gangland murders have also been affected.

Quote
Some dealers are trying to use well known online food delivery and taxi companies - unbeknownst to these legitimate businesses - as cover. One man was stopped yesterday in a taxi at a Covid-19 checkpoint in the Naul area of Co Dublin.  Unknown to the taxi driver, his passenger was carrying €20,000 worth of cannabis.

Not really a surprise I suppose but that's what would put me off going back too soon.  Who are your passengers going to be?  Disease-ridden health workers and drug dealers  :P  And an addict/dealer is not going to pay by card...
Getting old is compulsory whilst growing up is voluntary.

We've all been stung with this type of job, if you've been in the game long enough you try and spot them before they get in, Covid19 hasn't changed anything in this regard, just muppets trying to suggest they are staying at home for the good of the nation rather than the greedy bastards that they truly are, the true heroes are the ones out there fighting the fight, not us weenies sitting at home taking the free money

It's not beyond taxi drivers to use/move drugs for and consider it a fiduciary duty. You have only to turn on the App' to see who's calling cabs then see the job disappear almost immediately.

You say this, but where is the proof?
Seems it would be easy enough to police, particularly if "they're all doing it"

Well I'll tell ya something oneandonly, I'm not staying at home for the good of the nation as you suggest, I'm fukin staying at home for the good of me. The only time I go out is, if I need to go to the chemist, or something like that

Is empty dub a slang term for taxi driver?
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Taxi driver having a drug dealer in the cab is about as unusual as a taxi driver brings someone into town, it has nothing to do with covid19, just a journo looking for a story ,,, posters here using same story trying to convince themselves they are anything other than greedy cunts.
At least I'm honest about it, not trying to paint myself as some sort of latter day saint

M puzzled how you associate the word GREED with drivers who choose not to work on safety grounds, as opposed to drivers who DO work, AND take the 350 a week as well ?

So what are you saying,it's heroic to be out there or staying at home because I can see both arguments in your statement??
