Dealers use takeaways to keep drugs on the menu

Covid-19 has had a devastating impact on thousands of legitimate businesses all over the country but illegitimate businesses such as gun running, drug trafficking and gangland murders have also been affected.

Some dealers are trying to use well known online food delivery and taxi companies - unbeknownst to these legitimate businesses - as cover. One man was stopped yesterday in a taxi at a Covid-19 checkpoint in the Naul area of Co Dublin.  Unknown to the taxi driver, his passenger was carrying €20,000 worth of cannabis.

Not really a surprise I suppose but that's what would put me off going back too soon.  Who are your passengers going to be?  Disease-ridden health workers and drug dealers    And an addict/dealer is not going to pay by card...

It's not beyond taxi drivers to use/move drugs for and consider it a fiduciary duty. You have only to turn on the App' to see who's calling cabs then see the job disappear almost immediately.

Taxi driver having a drug dealer in the cab is about as unusual as a taxi driver brings someone into town, it has nothing to do with covid19, just a journo looking for a story ,,, posters here using same story trying to convince themselves they are anything other than greedy cunts.
