It was interesting to note that a survey carried out only today, recorded a small drop in support for remaining in the EU. this country has always been very pro EU, but the result revealed that we are now down from 93% support for remaining, to 84 %  those figures in themselves are insnigifincet, but could it be the start of a movement to take us out ?

Dollymount you couldnt be more Wronger Son as Big Dommo would say .We are not never were Pro EU we voted against Niece and Masstricht but we got it wrong and voted again .Wait till this Flu is over and see if the EU want their money back or start raping us for a universal tax rate .The Fiscal Treaty we voted on put borrowing and spending limits into our constitution they are written down we said 60% debt and 3% deficit we didnt fudge and say we would follow ECB guidance we put the totals in writing into the Constitution .Bondholders and Bankers will demand higher rates of interest on Government bonds if we break those limits and the ECB cannot loan us monies above those limits it would be illegal .If you ever read my piece to Microsoft in 2012 where I forcast Brexit I also said Ireland might consider defaulting on our debts and exiting the EU .The quietness of the Lockdown might be the lull before the storm Dalymount .

I don't profess to know much about what your talking about John, I'm not saying your wrong, I'm just saying I know nothing about economics. However I disagree that we are not pro EU, how could you say such a thing when it's recorded that 93 %  of our citizens supported membership just a few weeks ago, and now it's 84 % ?

It's very simple
...as ya know I'm a black an white simple urban yokle ...
Anyway this worn out idea of a united Ireland is leprechauns and the quiet man .....
Let them start a new country separate from ireland and England and let them stand on ther own 2 feet and pay ther own way ....a united ireland means bankruptcy and all out fuking war .....for wat? Some idiotic antiquated notion of thatched cottages and turf cutters and sean o riada  and painting a post box red or green ...its history...
Fairytales....
Make it a new country ..that way thell have a new identity and we wont be polluted by ther collective mental illness and  crippled by ther inability to make a livin ....
Same wit Gibraltar and ther monkeys

Ide rather be a poor master than a rich servant

I believe that a United Ireland will come, hopefully in my lifetime. Odds are reducing with time, and pregnancies.

Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

STATISTICS ......Here is a statistic for you Dalymount .More Americans died from Corona virus than American Soldiers Killed in Vietnam .Watch Irish attitudes t words the EU change when the Common Agricultural Fund is cut .Farmers vote they turn on the EU, then the Irish Government will change direction .If FF/FG go into coalition with the Greens then the Shinners win the next election probably with an overall majority .

I think its a moment of truth for the EU .Spain ,Italy,Greece ,We know are broke France are hiding their debts Unless there is a change of heart in Europe and they issue Corona Bonds where countries can borrow and pay it back sometime next Century the Euro currency and the EU will implode Brexit might just be the first with Italy and Spain gone in two years if that happens both of them are members of the Single currency Euro that will bring down the ECB and with it the EU .More likely to see the EU collapse than a United Ireland .

Tom last year before the election we were told we couldnt afford to sort out the Homeless Crisis .If we put the money we put into Covid payments into Social housing we could of sorted the problem but the Big property investors who own all the landbanks made sure their Political mates were against that .The 4 K you and I are getting now we will pay back in Spades .ECB .World Bank ,Fed none of them have branches in Blanchardstown Shopping Center they dont exist they are just a few lads who meet to decide how much money will be available this year They are as vile as any Drug Cartel and more dangerous and deadlier in their actions .All we really need to do is get your own crust do it in a way that suits you drive a cab or twist a wrench or build a block .Big money really has little if any effect on us a few cent on the pint or petrol a few quid extra on tax .Most of it is an illusion .My mother bought second hand clothes at Bring and Buy sales and local church fates we never went hungry but we never had take aways or Mc Donalds or Summer holidays my father worked since he was 13 only got his first car when he was 47 .Todays problems are all first world problems .We all want and we all want it now .

We never really had a financial crisis we had a Credit crisis nobody wanted to loan us money to but houses or cars or go on holiday .When this is over the Credit Card companies will be awash with free money that has been printed .Watch next year the new normal will be buy a new car over 7 years credit free dump all the Diesel and Petrol cars before we Go Hybrid or Electric only

What gives me a pain in me bollox listening about the homeless crises I'd, quite a lot of these people who claim to be homeless have been offered houses by their respective council's, but the fact that 5hey are not on a particular bus route, or it's not near their mothers, or it doesn't have a stable for the horse, they see this as grounds for refusing . Then when the council's tell them to fukk off, they go running to some rag like the journal who give the council bad press
