I'm not arguing. I'm merely trying to establish where the 90% figure came from. I find it odd that Pat would get the figure that wrong - although he isn't known as the plank for nothing, if he did he obviously misread the piece of paper his researchers gave him. However, given that he fancys himself as a "broadsheet" journalist he might not realise that some of his listeners are thick enough to believe something even that ridiculous.

Hi Pat,

I’m told that, during a recent show, you claimed that 90% of the population of Balbriggan is “foreign”. I would be obliged if you could clarify if that is what you said and, if so, how you defined “foreign” to arrive at that (frankly ridiculous) figure?

I vaguely remember that program.  IIRC, it was broadcast from a school and it might have been the school that had the massive diversity.  I think a lot of public schools in new neighbourhoods and towns are similar.

Well I no longer have a problem with migrants, since they saved my life, so they are all welcome as far as I'm concerned, and they for the most part do make a positive contrabution particularly the medical staff

Most of the schools have some diversity but there would be a concentration in the Educate Together. However, even that wouldn't be 90% despite being colloquially referred to as the black school. Maybe Pat will clarify in due course but my own suspicions is that DM got the erm end of the stick.

Agreed 100% I'm amazed and saddened  every day by this bullshit world we are now living in and how everybody seems to think they have the right to interfere in everybody elses lives ..........................welcome to the new soviet Ireland.... people will get what they deserve but sadly  they will be too brainwashed to realise what's really  happening...........  their children and grandchildren  will pay the price.     ...quisling  had to look that one up ! pretty accurate though ..
