What you thinking ? I have listened to the likes of Merc for Hire pointing out the cost of doing business .The Legend that was FDS when he said this was only a part time gig and listening to Myself BREXIT is going to murder us .It will be so bad we will wish for the return of the Roana to get free coin .Im unemployable 58 overweight gone lazy but lucky my total debt including CC, Car loans ,credit union is under 20K unlike lads with 300k mortgage and child minding bills to pay .My plan part time job preferably semi state or government job .I think they will create loads of them to keep the unemployed numbers down take old folk like me off the live register .And drive a taxi part time just to keep my licence active until the economy recovers or I need a job in my retirement .

Rang around during the week to lads I know were in business most of them said they dont think they will reopen even when they are allowed .Back rent for shops and warehouses stock that has perished or gone out of date .Staff who after getting 350 a week for resting wont work for minimum wage anymore so cost of doing business will rise .They say they dont see a recovery until next year and not much business till people start shopping for Christmas .

As I have said all along Brexit and a No deal is going to be our biggest problem not the China Sniffle .Im going to run for cover before the shit hits the fan .

Very ambitious plans John, I hope it works out for you. I communicated with you by PM the other day, and you got me thinking myself. I'm afraid if you think your to old for a job, then I'm REALLY fukked cause I'm 66 next month , so what chance have I I'd say there will be a lot of taxi business in the immediate aftermath of the virus, but it will only be novelty till the reality that there is no money to waste kicks in. The drivers with dispatchers will have SOME chance, but the likes of myself will be fukked . But with all that said I wish you well, you certainly have the academic capability to succeed

There are lads out there who need to work 60+ hours just to cover day to day cost of living ,I dont thank Budda .If I could get a low paying menial job dont want any responsibility I would take it free up this game a bit for those who need it and at the same time buy a bit of security .Its really down to one issue for me BREXIT .Think the Brits will go for a crash out fuck the EU Brexit always have thought that and Covid gives them cover at home they can blame it on everything .

The economics of it Brits not paying 30 billion a year so the Single farm subsidies will be reduced and tariffs introduced will mean Irish farmers will have no place to sell their over priced meat and milk Brits do a deal with USA on tariff free imports and export of shit that fucks us up for selling our shit .Bigger problem about 80% of our food comes from or comes throught the UK so prices will shoot up with tariffs .I done a bit or work with others and we forcast an 8% reduction in Irish industry after Brexit the government said 3.5% .The big issue that Paggo and New Eamo and Big Mick and Leo are forgetting is the fiscal treaty and the fact that we actually wrote the numbers into the Constitution .You can be sure Sinn Fein ,Profit From The People or some other Marxist leaning political grouping will use that to collapse the State renege on our debts like Argentina will do in a week or two like Greece have done twice and like Italy will do .

In 2012 long before anybody else on the Planet was talking about it .I addressed Executives from most of the Foreign investors in Ireland @ Microsofts HQ and I forecast Brexit I also said as a result Ireland would have to reconsider our position .Eleven years later I can see where this is going .Today the Brits said visitors to the UK would have to self Quarintine for 14 days with the exception of Ireland .They are respecting Free Movement as agreed in the Good Friday and they will point to this if or when the Irish or EU insist on and border on the Island of Ireland that any restrictions are Illegal .Thats the conundrum what side will the Irish Government take Defend the Good Friday treaty or Masstrict you cant have both ?

On my 4th apocalypse.
I'm not particularly smart, have no good natural talents, but have always, for better or worse, been a grafter. At one stage the bank and I owned, 2 houses, 2 apartments, and a shop. After the last financial crash, 1.5 divorces, and now the Covid shite, I now have just a shop leased out, but no debt, and live in rented accomodation. The shop rent would normally pay my residential rent, but he is closed and not paying rent. Any small entrepreneurial ambitions that I had, have gone due to an awareness of time running out, and mental fatigue. The taxi is going to be driven for as long as I am passed medically fit to do so. My best hope is to get certain current items on the agenda finalised,  and hope for at least 5 years of calm, peaceful existence, before I become stardust once again.

I never got into Property Bob but lost a lot of coin in other enterprises by not reacting to what I knew was coming and second guessing myself .I truly believe that Britain will go for a hard Brexit ,they  believe that the World loves them and they can rejuvenate the Old empire with free trade and whatever other jingoism they want to portray .A hard Brexit and we are totally Fucked .Brexit is done they are out its just a matter of how the leave .

The headline writers prefer to focus on the China Cold when the Real issue is BREXIT .Reminds me of Gypsies doing the Three card trick and everybody is focusing on the cards while the Pick pockets dip you pocket or bag .Dont take your eye off the big prize by watching the entertainment .

I've had chances to buy extra property over the years but always bottled it.When you add the maintenance fees and the fact that not everyone will look after it like you would it always seemed too risky and just like having a second job.

A few years ago I thought about borrowing for a holiday home but gave up on the idea also as I didn't wanna be stuck going to the same place year after year after year just because I bought it.

Easy option was always to pay any lump sums off the mortgage.I'll never be rich but I'll never be depending on the goodwill of a landlord. My mortgage is feck all and I'm not really bothered about this corona depression that's coming.Eleven years ago I was worried about the mortgage. Not anymore.Recessions come and go but they don't bother me like before.

Hopefully Bob the shop can be sold to buy somewhere to live in time.Keep working while your healthy.I can only get motivated to work hard when I absolutely need to.

A small shop 500sq ft, I traded in it for 14 years, CGG would take a big lump of it. Timing would be important.

If you lost money on the other property deals you can leverage the losses against any CGT on the shop.
