They should consult with NTA / Free Now... We've maintained a full service with little or no casualties.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Without contact tracing, we'll never know.

78% still working according to the amount of drivers still linked to a vehicle.

I don’t suppose those facts have anything to do with them being male dominated industries

If they are already in receipt of a Government payment there's no incentive to unlink from the App, coupled with the fact that most day workers are lonely pensioners.

I haven't heard of any shortfall, DM. In fact, anecdotal evidence suggests demand has fallen further than supply. IIRC you reported your takings being 35% down due to COVID '19.

A few days ago, the Irish Times reported that State funding for bulk of public transport could run out next month (i.e., by end of June).  Nobody is using the buses or trains.  Today, Ross came into the Dail from his (retirement) home and said the Govt would give them a few bob to keep them going in the second half of the year.

Uber in America is a listed company and they reported their fares are down 80%.  Probably a similar number here?

If any taxis are working, I can't imagine who they're driving around?

Me, a night driver.
Dialysis patients to home, 1 doctor to Vincents in an emergency, bloods, and specimens hospital to hospital, go, and return trips to buy weed, guys with bags of cans to a session, girlfriends/boyfriends who haven't had a jump in weeks to each others houses, hookers to clients, clients to hookers,1 family from a barbeque in their parents home, journalists to, and from work, etc.
Trump has called for help, so I'm on a plane heading for The Strait of Hormuz, talk soon.

Sorry, I should have been clearer.  I'm sure there is *some* need for taxis but not the 10,000 licenced to work.

FFS, DM...  it's beginning to get tedious looking up your contradictions...

Report on the news last night, that the taxi industry has been hardest hit by the virus. According to the report, drivers are down on average 35% in their takings I would have to say, that accuractuly reflected my performance last night, I don't know about the rest of you
