Is the dizzeezs going to go away or will it come back and we have another lockdown ?Korea and Germany seem to have gotten a bit of a second wave but nothing really serious .So what do you think will drunks be doing the twelve pubs this christmas or the twelve off licences .I think Leo is rolling the Dice he dosent know but is getting ready for another election .I really dont know where this is Going .Do you ?Im staying on the 350 for as long as possible and looking for alternative employment .A lot of risks a lot of costs a lot of uncertainty .Everything just seems too quiet bit like the old Cowboy films .John Wayne says it seems very quiet out there just before the Indians would attack .

Im sort of with you Dalymount .I think things will be hugely different .We have enjoyed a lifestyle way beyond our means since the 90s .The bill for this Epidemic will be paid in spades .State borrowing will need to be repaid welfare will have to be raised so taxes will have to go up a LOT less disposable incomes so less pubs restaurants ,night clubs .The EU will be after our corporate tax rate and Brexit will fuck up the Agri sector .As I said its the lull before the storm .

Well i said that before and i will said again watching this gov is like watching Kindergarten trying to invent some kind of solution same time create a chaos.
Love is love and I don't care what that half man he's doing in his bedroom. What i am interested is that he will take an ownership for everything he's create. Another thing is Government is not our savior. Ireland is very valuable these days. Yes John a risks are way to big in our trade. Personally I won't play John Wayne .

I would be in same mind as John M--they will have to come up with something special to keep industry viable---before we know where we are the fleet owners will be slashing rental rates to get some revenue with our German masters offering discounts to the punters at our expense !
In Germany all cabs have to charge the agreed rate with no discounting allowed hence there was no Medical promotion there !

Punter I never said they will come up with anything .We are running a business just like any other if we cant make it pay we go broke thats business .Taxi driving always was led by market forces .If there was a Match or big concert everybody worked but Tuesdays were usually dead so less drivers worked .A lot of renters will drop out a few Double jobbers will drop out fewer new entrants .This business will recover when the Tourist business and Socialising recovers .I posted my best guess is trade will be Down 30% for the next few years .After costs you might just about make minimum wage .Watching the App a tenner an hour at best .

The disease is here to stay, hopefully we have learned how best to avoid catching it. For me, it's loved ones and friends that pose the biggest threat as it's more difficult to maintain social distancing with those you trust and assume to be OK.

If Leos big Bet comes off No big upswing in two weeks after Pennys opens I think he will then announce based on actual good science that the Social Distancing is reduced to 1 meter .I say good science as Betty and Breda from the Flats are not going to be observing any two meter distancing when her and the rest of the Huns get a chance to do a loop of pennies and get the 3 pairs of nickers for 4 euro and new pyjamas .Real reason for reducing the Social Distancing to hold another election so he can try hang on to the Big Front Office with the view of the Fountain and passing taxies .

 I recon by August anybody claiming Covid Coin will be advised to apply for unemployment Benifit or assistance .

Be kinda ironic if indeed some of those drivers were in receipt of the PUP while FN were offering huge discounts on their behalf as they risked their own lives only to be found out because they used the app......gonna ring Alanis now!!
