question for the tekkies
« on: June 17, 2020, 09:55:54 pm »
say when somebody sends me an e-mail with 5 pictures, I'll see the 5 pictures no problem.
but whenever I reply to the e-mail the 5 pictures are replaced by 5 duplicates of the first picture.
4 of the pictures are now gone and I can't see them anymore.
anybody know how I can unfuck the situation without having to ask the person to send the pictures again.

Maybe download the photos in to your photo album and when replying just attach them to the new mail.

it's when I reply to the e-mail that has 5 pictures, those 5 pictures for some reason turn in to 5 duplicates of the first picture and I lose the other 4.
I would have to download each of them to keep them but I should'nt have to.
I can't see what the purpose is of what's happening.
After you reply to the e-mail it's too late and they're gone.

I use g-mail aswell.
it's 5 photos that a pal sent me. no copyright malarkey.
it always happens when I reply to a message that has photos.
if i'm sent 10 different photos, after I reply I'll have 10 duplicate pictures of the first one and the other 9 are gone for good.

Is your computer powerfull enough .It might not have the processor to send big files so auto edits them .Try in future to save the photos to gallery or a file then send them individually as an attachment .

This probably isn't very helpful but I'd just WhatsApp the photos.Email isn't really a great medium for what you're doing.

no I'm on the blower.
I was thinking it might be a data storage problem, for example pictures take up loadsa space. But I've loadsa storage space on the phone.

I asked the other half and apparently there is a limit on file sizes on emails. So you can make the quality lower or send multiple emails. Also you can link a Google drive account somehow but that is probably too much hassle.

All these new cameras are taking massively bigger and more detailed photos compared to cameras of twenty years ago.

I know that.
sometimes I've tried to attach say 4 photos and it'll only let me send 3 because there's a lotta space involved.
but I already received the 5 jaysus photos no problem that I was sent.
it's when I reply to the e-mail the 5 different photos are transformed in to 5 pictures of the first picture.
