I'm not calling ken a loser hal me aul pal,  kens a winner.  At least HE thinks he is, with all his little gold medallions and stuff. I'm calling octy out for the loser that he is by reminding him of that very painful beating he got that time.

  • You don't want to do it like that
For some, getting out in the Taxi is how they meet people and socialise, without it they'd be lonely, don't knock it, it's keeping people sane.
Could be any of us some day.
There's only so much  self abusing oneself one can do in a bedsit before depression kicks in.
Risking a life threatening illness is a better option for some.

I remember him saying that he orders ointment from China, to kick start the growth.
God Bless your memory Lizzzy !
I have long since given up on that and just bought a HAT !

Fairplay Ken, there's no shame in it.

Not at all, Ken's a snappy dresser, the hat compliments the cowboy boots!

No worries Lizzzy, it was actually a shampoo called Zulphera that I used to use,
long since given up and really don't care anymore, the 7 Euro Hat does the job !

I honestly think the sneeze guards are pointless in regards to the virus so wont be getting one installed. And it seems they will cause more hassle when doing your suitability test etc I can take card payments so yeah maybe I will insist on card payments and then if I do get robbed I will only have a very small amount of cash on me.

You don't think a large piece of plastic separating you from the possibly infected person is better than nothing?
I don't think you've really thought about it.

most of the screens I have seen have big holes cut out in them for handing over money or card, it should be airtight if you are going to go to the bother of getting one installed.  would you use a condom with a pin hole in it?
If you're homing in on the airtight thing as being a deal breaker, then you may give up. Masks are not airtight either, but they are recommending everyone uses them because they are another layer of protection that can assist. If you're separated by a screen, albeit with a couple of necessary holes or gaps, then of course this is going to help even further. To have airtight,  you need to go into some sort of vacuum chamber, or ask Elon Musk for a lift.
If a fart can pass through two arse cheeks, your jocks and a pair of denims then anything  can penetrate a mask. It's a matter of mitigation.

The cork gold medal hero

I think that is about my Ninth Gold medal in a row since I went back to work.
Let you work out the figures fer yourself while you sit on your ass 'well able to work' scrounging off the Irish state.

Yea ken, i am well able to work but I'm not. I'm patiently waiting.  Meanwhile you can work and contribute to my wages. I dont want to hear any excuses ken, make sure you put in them hours every week so I can continue to get my free money. I hope your not thinking of taking a day off any time soon, I need my dollar. So get your lazy ass out of bed ken and go get my wages.
Fer me, going back to work was the best option after much thought was put in to it, I have worked all my life and sitting at home was just not fer me. I enjoy my job (most of the time) with the banter in the cab and seeing life on the streets.
I'm not short of money but the 350 was doing nothing fer me not even covering my weekly rent and maintenance payments and I was sat at home fer 3 weeks itching to get back to the work that I enjoy doing.

I'm keeping busy ken, plenty to be doing around the house,  stuff i never had time for before because half my life was spent driving that poxy cab. I know I'll have to go back sometime but the longer the better as far as I'm concerned.  Looking at what's happening around the world,  especially Germany,  I'd imagine we'll be back in lockdown sooner rather than later. Only problem is the longer I'm out the harder it'll be to go back. One things for sure though,  when I do go back im off nights. Fcuk that shite, waking at 4pm, eating your dinner at 6am, listening to drunken dickheads all night. I'm simply not able for that anymore so I'll give the whole sitting in traffic all day a go. In the meantime you just make sure to keep contributing to my free money fund ken. If it wasn't for folks like you I may have to go back sooner so cheers for that ken. I owe you one.

In this new Covid world I have had to change and adapt my ways of work, and I'm not much fer changing or adapting to anything.
'Back in the Day' (3 months ago) a Taxi driver could make a handy living off the street with a birra app work to top it off, those days are gone, the streets are bare and most likely will remain bare till the pubs re open properly in a months time.

I learned, changed and adapted my working ways when I came back to work, FN (in Cork) was the only show in town and in order to get better work you needed Gold status (36 or 60 jobs per week fer 4 weeks) so I worked my Bollox off fer 4 weeks to get overall Gold status, taking jobs that a few months earlier I would not have taken.

Once on Gold status things got easier and jobs were more plentiful even allowing me to get to the '100 Club' one week.

As fer Hours and Nights worked;
Last week, 35 hours, 4 nights.
The week before, 25 hours, 4 nights.

I love the Night work, the Day work is too boring fer me, much less paid and terrible traffic.
