Apparently Bono has bought the Queens pub in Dalkey, and also The Tramyard close to it. Queens will not reopen. Bakers Corner will not reopen, apparently may be developed as student accomodation (IADT nearby). Eagle House in Glasthule probably will not reopen. Fitzgeralds in Sandycove for sale, Magpie in Dalkey for sale, Rambler's Rest in Ballybrack for sale.
I reckon I'm rite Bobby...load them.be trown in the towel ....the new rules be unsustainable....be easier an cheaper to have house  parties ....ide say lot publicans see the writhing on the wall ...the death of the Irish pub ....its the straw that break the camels back ....most the immigrant ( new irish ) have no interest in pubs .... in few years they be unfashionable an racist establishment on account of they fly in the face of Allen the acrobat.....pubs be sold to apartments,  churches to islam now that christianity was killed off by the violinists fiddlers  ....welcome to Disneyland

Currently Pubs are reopening as restaurants, the traditional Pub scene is not permitted yet,  the Restaurants are reporting a decent level of bookings as are hotels.
a camper van rental company I do a lot of transfers for are booked out from July to September .. with Irish ... no use to me but good to hear all the same.
Referring to Pubs in the current phase is pointless, they're restaurants only for the time being

I'm not that interested in going to the pub/restaurant if you need a booking.I'll wait until the next phase before bothering.

These COVID restrictions could be more damaging than the smoking ban. Some folks won't be back.

Plenty of people that will prefer the new version of a Pub over the old one ... it might catch on!

I was talking to the Manager of my Local--they could reopen but are not --will wait and see what protocols are for 20 July and if they are too restrictive they will stay closed--he said a lot of those pushing for the reopen have changed their minds and are staying closed !

Maybe Roy.I don't like the timeslot thing.Sometimes I like to turn up when I feel like it.Sometimes I don't feel like leaving.

Anyway we're almost certain to get another few waves of this virus if they're reopening travel so multiple lock downs might be the future.

Eventually it'll be a case of looking after yourself, screen/mask/sanitiser or whatever.
I think it's funny that you and Dalymount and some others who stopped working,  don't plan on doing anything to help yourselves when the time comes

I know Roy but I wasn't working anyway. Getting the 350 increased my income to 350 a week. Daly has a pension I think. Erm is a billionaire gambler.

I don't like Free now dictating what is safe and unsafe. They're not medical professionals they're social media marketers at best.

In the early stages, there were so many unknowns about the virus. Remember I mentioned asymptomatic because I heard it on the US Tv stations even though the HSE didn't accept it as a possibility. That was weeks before they mentioned it here.

I think many companies will get masks and screens just for optics. They don't care anymore they just wanna get back to normal.

People that continued to work haven't done anything to help themselves, so Dalyer and Merc have taken the safer option.

I know you want us all to go back to work today Roy but what do you think the average days earnings for the average driver would be if every driver  who is on the PUP returned to work tomorrow?

Pubs, restaurants, hotels etc closed or as good as closed, heaps of people working from home and the airport had 4K passengers instead of 115K last weeekend-a drop of 98%,I'd  say you'd do well to get 50 Euro a day or night.
