It's not a blank cheque though. It will have to be for expenses incurred while restarting the business. You'll need VAT receipts.

Would it not be unreasonable for the Dept to look for proof of spend --how are we expected to have a spare grand to spend having been out of work for 14 weeks--its the Taxi business not the Public Service !

Not really how else do they know you won't spend it on beard softener or some other shite.

If you have to have a VAT receipt it means the money doesn't disappear into the black economy untaxed.

Presumeably those of you with any self respect who took the Covid payment wont be claiming this €1k.
"So look into the mirror, do you recognise someone, is it who you always thought you would become, when you were young?"

Your general lack of respect for yourself and your critics is duly noted.

My intellectual superiority over the dilettantes dictates that I am aware and value my self preservation above a job @ 15% commission .The government are trying to woo me into the Petree dish of filth that is taxi driving bringing every cancour infested fucktard around Dublin at the peril of my health .Any inducement they offer I will take if and when It suits me .I have total self respect for myself but dont need to scrape the barrell to try to keep togeather some decrepit existance that some believe is Life .Kiss the but end of my bollox .
