Occi politics is me hobby .Albert shit on the PDs just after he done his deal saying it was a nasty little arangement or something .FF/FG think the Greens are arse wipe paper and will treat them that way .The present government have achieved what they set out to achieve .They FF/FG have signalled to both sets of supporters the new reality .Vote No 1 FF and continue your prefrence for FG and vice versa .The message has been sent loud and clear and both parties supporters voted for it when they agreed to form a government .The Greens got about 8 of their seats from SF residual votes but they never paid back that vote by staying out of government so wont get that next time .

Hey Driver will you take me to Dunboyne ..Fuck off and walk you cunt me battery is nearly gone .I wonder will drivers of electric cars still have to drive back from the airport empty and waste their electricity .

No problem....the freenow  tow trucks will be available to tow the freenow owned state the art fully electric cripple friendly zero emissions vehicles in the unlikely event they run out of green energy from the windmills .

That's wat freenow is saying to eamonn rite now in the back room o the dail ....havin earl grey  and dougnuts wit sprinkles

Shortcuts are very useful for getting to fares.Especially app jobs.I can take jobs that google maps won't bring other drivers to in a short amount of time.Whether you choose to use them on the fare is up to yerself.

Green Policies as Pat Rabbitt said "Sure ya would say anything at election time to get elected "What we will see is Traffic regulation by Frustration .Block College Green then access to car parks which will then be demolished and office blocks built on the sites or appartments people will be forced on to public transport by frustration .The future for the taxi industry might be bright after all .I think there is a plan to ban private cars from O connell Street so access to Ilac carpark will be restricted easier to take a taxi or bus than try to park .Same on South Willian if its blocked how do you access the car park .The cunt selling the 4euro cup of Tea or Coffee on the highway wont have any customers as they wont be able to get into town and park .City Center will Die out of town shopping will be the new day out .

Sth WilliamSt car park is accessible from Clarendon St , If the proposed closing of Sth William st goes ahead, it is proposed to allow cars exiting the car park to turn right and onto Wicklow St.

Electric car owners will have to pay for using all public chargers from August 10.

Under the new payment system, it will cost them from €3.41 to boost a car battery by 100kms at a standard/slow-charge outlet.

ESB ecars, who run the system, say that represents a 40pc saving on fuelling a typical family diesel for the same distance.

Up to now EV and plug-in hybrid owners could use the standard network chargers (up to 22kW AC) for free at locations in cities, towns and villages.

The only outlets that involved payment, since November last, were the relatively small number of fast chargers - mostly on main routes. They cost from 30.5c per kWh.

But now, for the first time and after 10 years of free electricity, motorists will have to pay for the standard/slower AC chargers as well.

The decision has been taken after, and to continue with, a major upgrade of the national network, according to ESB ecars.

There are two payment methods for using a standard charger:

*Pay-As-You-Go (26.8c per kWh);

*Membership (23c per kWh and a €4.60 monthly subscription). ESB ecars say the latter is more suitable for anyone using the system more than five times a month.

Super high-power chargers (150kW) hubs will also be installed in the next while.

The majority of EV owners are expected to mostly charge their cars at home, so the public chargers will be mainly used to top-up over longer journeys.

It has been estimated that doing so could mean substantial savings on power costs compared with a diesel vehicle when night-rate electricity etc is taken into account.

ESB ecars says the standard-charger upgrades are part of an overall €20m investment in renewing and expanding the electric vehicle public charging network supported by the Irish government’s Climate Action Fund.

ESB ecars chief Niall Hogan said drivers are already seeing the benefits of investment in the system with “significant improvements in the reliability of the national network”.

According to ESB ecars typical savings in driving 100kms in an EV compared with a diesel car are:

Have a look at the graph at the bottom to see what the real savings are .

Notice the Savings are based against figures for high milage Diesels and only show a 21% saving I wonder if there are any real savings against Petrol propelled vehicles ?

I think the Indo are very pro diesel for some unknown reason.Public chargers are meant for occasional use.If they're free people will block them when they have half battery just to get a freebie leaving others left with an empty battery.

If you own a leccy car it only really makes savings to charge it at home.
