Was never really into football but you couldn't help but get caught up in the whole Italia 90 fever....back in June my mates on our group chat were putting up photos of us in various pubs in Finglas from match days...pubs rammed at 2pm of a week day......

To be fair to him...he played at the highest level but had very little of his brother Bobbys skill....I think Johnny Giles summed him up best with a story from their Leeds days...He told us that he would go back looking for the ball from Charlton...who played at centre half...and he would shout at Giles to.. Fluck off up there ya little runt and I will thump the ball up to you...He only liked brute force in the air and long ball..His style upset other teams style and he missed the opportunity to allow our best players ever to express themselves...I was not a fan of his..

Happy days... when getting the car home after 14 pints of stout was considered a triumph.

The only time in aviation history that an Aer Lingus aircraft was given a  name other than a saint's name.

Saint Jack.

The VW Beetle from the Submarine bar in Crumlin.

From my days on Aer Lingus Line Maintenance.
RC was right,  you could get away with anything then. 8)

The best manager Ireland ever had before or since.
With the current crop I'd rather watch bogball or stick ball.

Jack thanking a certain very handsome young man for his advice, and help during the campaigns.
