I don't know the exact details Stephen as my PC email is acting up again, but as there was a Bobo on the go, I worked 26 of the 48 hours that the FN Bobo was on offer fer, covering 37 FN CC jobs fer a 97.12 Bobo.
I would suppose that being a FN Ambassador on Gold status and with Priority was a help ?

Doing the math suggests card takings of €485.60 during the bonus period. I guess with at least the same again in cash it was a pretty lucrative weekend.

Is Cork city as busy with staycationers as West Cork and Kerry. The consensus among locals in those parts is that they've never seen it so busy and staycationers have no problem pouring gargle down there necks without the fiddle and bodhran stuff they have to churn out to extract a few coins from the usual Yank clientele. I'd say the grossly overpriced souvenir shops are suffering though, hard to imagine a Dub being thick enough to pony up a ton and a bit for a sheepskin... word off warning though, some of them price their merchandise in both Euros and US Dollars and they will try to charge you the dollar figure in euros - how quaint - so pay attention if you are buying.

Cork city is seldom very busy with tourists except fer the Jazz festival in October or the Pride weekend in August.
It's just the regular riff raff that keep me going.

It is big down here fer the August bank holiday, personally I hate working it because the customers are too Camp and OTT.
Usually I would dodge it and instead work the Indiependence music festival in Mitchelstown 30km outside the city.

The wife says to me the other day "Can you stop yawning while I'm talking to you?"

I told her "I'm not yawning , I'm trying to say something"

I could'nt work a gay pride event.
I would'nt be able to deal with all the men throwin themselves at me on top of all the usual women that tell me how gorgeous I am.
