Since march 3000 people in ireland died from smoking related disease yet they still for sale in the shops ................but yu cant  go in a shop without a mask on ....on account of  a disease  that has killed  1700 mostly over 80 pensioners with dementia , Parkinson's, diabetes, cancer , heart disease and high blood pressure
...madness
New Zealand and now Spain. This thing is making an unwelcome return all over the joint.

And the difference is .If its a small family owned business like a pub you will be crucified But if its ........A construction worker has tested positive for Covid-19 at the Intel facility in Leixlip, Co Kildare.

The person was feeling unwell over the weekend and asked for a test, it has emerged.

They were diagnosed with the virus shortly afterward and are now self-isolating.

A spokesperson for the contractor they worked for has said it is liaising with the HSE on the necessary follow-up procedures.

It comes as Kildare, as well as Laois and Offaly have been put into a local lockdown.

THEY CLOSED SITES IN TOWNSEND STREET BUT INTEL IS SPECIAL .

I wouldn't say they will or would want to be treated any less safely that any other construction site

Maybe they'll just close the construction site in Intel.  Never been to Intel but I'd say it's the size of a small town.  If they can close the pub in a town's Main St while the Spar shop beside it can stay open, they could do the same in Intel?

Another case in a creche on UCD campus.  I wonder if they brought it back from their Bank Hol weekend vacation?  Is South Dublin next for a lockdown!  Deploy the Army on the Liffey bridges  :D

They have numerous fabrication buildings spread around Leixlip as well as a research centre and building site(s) all have their own facilities and as someone suggested earlier the fabrication areas are surgically clean far beyond what you would see in a hospital theatre, I'd say they'd be able to isolate a breakout to a small number of people. I have friends who worked on sites there and they were made operate to the highest level of health and safety

I know that and Covneys brother is the bossman I heard a rumour last week that there MIGHT be a problem in a factory in Wexford but it seems there isint unless the factory was advised any more cases and it would be closed .As I said ONly there seems to be different standards being applied to different groups .

I'm hoping Dublin meets that criteria, (of being different to other counties when it comes to lockdowns)

Think they proved that this type of county lockdown is unfair they need a rethink ,if people think its unfair they will lose faith in it and just say FUCK it

That's nonsense, erm. Consequences are necessary to encourage them to wash their hands... same way kids (used to be) grounded.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I dont need to wash my  hands as its not mandated by law I'll just wipe them on my mask instead.
