maybe greed is a big word to describe your actions, maybe. I dont care if your making more than "my" pox pup payment ken. Hopefully you don't catch that disease ken or worse, spread it around Cork City or worse again, spread it onto a loved one. Some things are more important than money ken. My loved ones health being one. Mad the way money takes precedence over everything else for some people.  Thankfully I'm not one of them Ken.

it surely is 42. I'm just taking the piss out of ken. He's well used to my antics by now, as is octy. I dont really think ken is greedy but I know it annoys him when I call him it. Under it all kens sound as a punt.

Yis should be getting danger money anyway.I hope it stays busy for those that are working.Like I posted already many owner-drivers would need to earn nearly €450(517.50 including freenow fees) before expenses before they start getting any extra for their effort compared to taking the 350.

On September 17 many will be cut so more will head back on road.Be interesting to see what it's like then.

My experience, Rank work is not busy at all, so is street work. Free now is also dead, but am not ambassador and i dont have screen installed.

at least 50% of pre-books I see are Taxi+screen
So the screen does matter, cause i hardly see any prebooks either. Just one or two and gone in an instant.

I spoke with a staff member from Fire restaurant who says they only use Lymp because they're guaranteed a screened cab.
Free Now aren't able to provide this service yet.

There is an option on the passenger app to request a taxi with screen

I wouldn't fancy it without my own bookings, I did a couple of days without bookings early on and while it ended up OK, it was tough, the amount of concentration required to get a FN instant job or prebook before they disappear off the screen can be intense and ultimately quite frustrating

A noticeable slowing over the last 5 days with the exception of Sat. FN jobs getting scarcer, or disappearing more quickly, maybe more drivers, ambassadors, or screen seekers?

There are a lot of businesses realising they won't be around after the government wage subsidies disappear. Employees are also realising they may be jobless soon so maybe cutting back in preparation.I've noticed the pubs are a bit quieter during the week. All the 350 payments will be down to 250 or 200 from Sept 17. That's a lot of discretionary cash removed from the economy.

In my extended circle of friends and family, two workings in aviation have been let go. One friend took redundancy and another two in the banks are praying for redundancy soon. Just like during the bad years those that still had jobs held back on spending out of fear that they might need the little bit the future.

It will be a different landscape. Sooner the vaccine reopens the place up the better. Until then all bets are off.I'm going back to the bunker.

A couple of local resto/pubs now, apart from closing early, are not opening on Mondays. One local publican told me that his books would not balance without the staff subsidy.

If they cannot prove their business is down by x amount they no longer qualify for the subsidies so some of the closings could be strategic.Or maybe I'm too cynical. One gastro pub where I am had no card facilities for a whole day.Very odd.Now I bring cash just in case so It kinda suits them.

Think that the turnover issue will be an "end of year returns" issue. I know one petrol centra/station whose business is booming, and is still getting staff subsidies.
