Nokia 2, 3 years old dropped a few times getting out of the car, not a bother on it plus the battery is holding out well. My non work phone is a Nokia Lumia 950 windows, nearly 7 years old everything fine except no more updates not supported by what's app and the other social media yokes, but it has a mighty camera I can text and call use youtube, works for me.

Mine was a 110 euro smart phone I bought 3 years ago, great phone, use it for calls, texts, google maps, youtube etc . I honestly don't think you need to be spending much more on one in the taxi game. The main reason I wouldn't buy an expensive phone is you may as well have a bundle of money lying on your dash, it is just asking to be robbed if you are ever mugged. no mugger would want my 3 year old phone.

I’ve seen some very expensive handsets in full display in taxis, usually stopped at a set of lights with the window down.

Guilty

Not that they’d be interested in my 3 year old iPhone 6 with a smashed screen but there ya go.

I meant myself my holder/phone is placed just inside the driver window

That is where Ratcatcher's last phone was snatched from.
Ever since he told the story I have been more astute when parked/ranked up.

I have an iphone 8 or 9 (can't remember) but big screen, cost 150 notes outlay on a 24 month vodafone business plan fer 48 a month.
I know it's expensive but it does what it sez on the tin.

I know you're technically in "business" but do you really need the business plan? might be worth downgrading to a lower plan with less "free stuff" you probably don't use

I don't know Martin, the Business account that I have is continued on from my last job in the bookie game (when the company used to pay the bills) but it still works today and as a business customer you do get a superior helpline service.
Any time I ring them they blind me with science, but it works and works well so I just pay 'em fer a simple life.
