Vinny on the radio yesterday..
« on: August 15, 2020, 11:57:59 am »
So firstly fair play to Vinny for helping drivers out. According to this clip he thinks we can claim for our insurance premiums.Dunno about that one..

Also as mentioned this clip he seems overly concerned that pensioners who get 10k upwards off the state every year aren't qualifying for the €1000 grant.Surely they should be the ones staying at home for health reasons instead of taking the work off the family men with young kids to feed and mortgages to pay.I have zero sympathies for pensioners myself.I don't know why anyone would.

well Im a pensioner myself, and I feel the same way as you.young men trying to raise a family should be first in line for any help being given by govt.its very hard for young lads trying to survive, but you could also point the finger at double jobbers, illegals, renters ,etc .the priority has to be young men with families, and morgages as far as im concerned.it was interestingly to hear Kearns again trying to get drivers to sign up to radio companies in his usual sneakey way.does he not realize FN are the bosses of this game, and he and his likes are fukked.I was talking to a cab2000000000 driver last week, and he told me kelly is down to less then 70 drivers from 350

Dalymount stop and fucking read what I wrote .You are NOT A CIVIL SERVANT deciding if you qualify is below your pay grade .Apply and let a Civil servant decide not a talking head on the radio .This payment is back dated .You werre on the covid before you went off the covid that is the basic requirement to put in a claim .

IMO Vinny missed an opportunity..he only had five minutes on the national airways and he mentioned a minority of drivers who have pensions that nobody cares about.Must be a few pensioners in his company. No mention of the geography exam being softened encouraging more new blood while over half of the existing fleet is on their COVID holidays. But then again I didn't realise he is part of some despatch owners union group, some who rent out vehicles.Very disappointing.

Was he supporting the BIG representative body who claimed in a National Newspaper that Drivers are working 24 hour shifts .

The application is to social welfare. They can see on there screen that you are in receipt of the pension. It says you must have closed your claim. Not transitioned to oap.

So are you saying Kearns is wrong ,that I would meet the criteria ? I know its always been the case that you cannot receive two sw payments at the same time

I think what he's saying is that you didn't close your claim, you were no longer eligible, now I'd say most of the pensioners Vinny talks about were never eligible (unlike yourself), so that "might" make a difference

Get the claims in quickly. There's only 12 million to share among the nations sole traders/small self employed set ups. I've the forms printed off, filled out and ready to post as soon as I get one last small detail on Monday.
