I think if they had have introduced something similar to the Back to Work scheme whereby the PUP is reduced over a period of time...i might have been tempted...but then probably so would everyone else but at least there would be a financial cushion if the work wasn't there,the 1k grant didn't even pique my interest tbh.

Maybe Watty can do what he's suggesting.

I love Irony .This was a Golfing Society nosh up and nobody at it seems to be able to count above 50 .They must be the best golfers on earth .Eighty guests I doubt many of they could break 80 out on the course .

The Tánaiste Leo Varadkar has removed the party whip from Senators Jerry Buttimer, Paddy Burke and John Cummins.

The Fine Gael leader said he made the decision "in recognition of the seriousness of this matter".

He added: "All have apologised profusely and accept they made a serious error of judgment."
