Looks like Eamo and the Cabbages might be in favour of privatizing ALL irish public transport .Go Bus being asked to quote to run the lot .Irish rail will keep the Permanent Way (rail lines )as they cannot price the land the rails are on and if they sold it then if the company went broke Irish Government would have to compete with private equity to buy it back .Greens also interested in Road Pricing .You have a black box in the car and pay different rates per kilometer depending on what road it is and what time you travel .Government departments asked for ideas to raise RECOVERY funds from disposal of government assetts .Dont be surprised what might be sold .Roads ,water,ESB

Bus Éireann is to close down several of its inter-city routes as a result of financial pressures brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic.

It is understood the State-owned transport company is to end the current Dublin- Cork, Dublin-Limerick and Dublin-Galway routes.

Bus Éireann is also expected to suspend its current Dublin-Belfast route.

An express service running from Galway to Limerick via Shannon airport which ceased to operate during the summer is not now expected to resume.
