Sorry to change the subject just for a moment erm,but I spoke to a woman on monday morning who told me she had just made payment of the grant '' but there is STILL no money in my account,so I wonder does it take a few days to transfer,or whats the story.?-I dont really want to ring her,but I just wondered would any of you know who got the grant does it take a few days

I just check. As I said before, it took me about 7 weeks from start to finish, after a lot of chasing. Anyway, that wouldn't be the norm. I have the confirmation letter in front of me here. It was dated 15/09. The money went in on the 21st. The letter didn't arrive till a few days after the dough went in! Keep checking your balance. Another chap I know got it in 8 days in total. Don't know anyone else that applied.

Well you see just to explain.I submitted application on 17 th aug.

A woman rang me about a month ago looking for my access number which I dropped in the same day.

I had heard nothing till Monday morning when she rang me again,and she explained that the reason for te delay was,that she tried a number of times to put the payment through,but the computer or something kept stopping it,because once your 66 you cant get it.

Anyway she said she had now made payment succesfully,that she had to wait for something or other to happen before she could do it.

She said it was done now,but there is STILL no money in my account so I was wondering was payment automatically stopped again,and she doesn't know about it,or does it just take a few days.

I wouldnt mind if I just knew wether I was getting it or not,but I dont want to piss her off by ringing her again

Piss her off .Why not she is a public servant she works for you paid by you .RING AND ASK .If you did what I told you and said you returned to work the day before your 66th Birthday then you qualify age has nothing to do with it .

I know what you mean. It's only been 2 days. Give it another couple. Its probably administrive. These electronic transactions don't always be immediate. I'd say you'll have it before the week is out.
