The men were arrested last night and brought before Blanchardstown District Court todayTwo brothers have been remanded in custody after they were charged with the murder of a man who was found dead in his home in 2019 in Dublin, almost two weeks after he suffered a serious injury.
Michael "Mick" Mulvey, 55, who lived in the Darling Estate, off the Navan Road, Cabra, was found dead in his home by his partner on 27 November.
His death came after he was injured walking home at about 5.30pm on 14 November.
Following results of a post-mortem examination, gardaí opened a murder investigation.
Brothers Ian and Daniel Connaghan, were arrested last night at their homes, which are both located at Ashington Rise, Cabra.
They were brought to Ronanstown Garda Station where they were charged with murdering Mr Mulvey at Navan Road.
They appeared separately before Judge David McHugh at Blanchardstown District Court today.
Detective Sergeant Maeve Ward told Judge McHugh that Ian Connaghan, 31, "made no reply" when charged.
Detective Garda Ian O'Keeffe said Daniel Connaghan, 41, also made no reply when he was charged.
Neither man addressed the court.
Judge McHugh accepted a request from defence counsel Jennifer Jackson, instructed by solicitor Yvonne Bambury, to grant legal aid to the pair.
There was no garda objection.
Judge McHugh remanded the two men in custody to appear via video-link at Cloverhill District Court on Thursday.
