I've posted this already but if you're not spreading Coronavirus you can't spread the Flu.Both are spread in the same way but for some reason they concerned about the flu.
Masks and hand washing and limited contacts also stops other viruses.What am I missing?
In a normal year, if you get the flu, chances are you'll be told to take 2 paracetamol and take to your bed. This year, someone turns up coughing and spluttering and they have to assume they have C19 until the test clears them. So that takes up lots of HDU/ICU beds. So the HSE is probably worried about allocating resources (nurses, doctors, beds etc).
I can't remember the numbers but they're staggering for how many people look after an ICU patient. I think it's something 3 nurses + doctor per bed per shift x 24 hours. So you could maybe 10-15 healthcare workers per ICU patient and we've 'only' 30 patients in ICU at the moment.
