Don't get upset, mo chara.  You'll soon be able to watch that British-invented sport called football  :P

Quote
The rules of association football were codified in England by FA in 1863 and the name association football was coined to distinguish the game from the other forms of football played at the time, specifically rugby football.

When a small group of aspiring footballers from Bells Academy, a civil service college in North Great Georges Street, joined with students from the Hibernian Military School at the Gate Lodge in the Phoenix Park on 6 September 1890, they formed a club to partake in the fledgling Dublin scene of Association football. The origins of this meeting at the North Circular Road entrance to the Phoenix Park lie in the establishment of Richfield Sports Club on 19 October 1889.  This club had emerged from the playing of ‘association football’ at Bells Academy and the need to accommodate participants from outside the college in the organisation of the game. Andrew Philip Magill and Hamilton Paul Bell were appointed Honorary Secretary and Treasurer of the Richfield club respectively.[ii] Census records show Magill and Bell to have been aged eighteen and seventeen at the time of the inaugural meeting of Bohemian F.C.[iii] Both were born in Dublin, Magill was the Protestant son of a Swiss mother and Bell was a Roman Catholic who claimed proficiency in the Irish language.
One of Boh's founders was a Prod whose mother was a foreigner...  :o  :o  :o

                                               ***BREAKING NEWS***

Man known for being against immigrants are they were, according to him, "taking away his "culture", is now complaining about the GAA which  ironically is part of Irish culture and plays an influential role in Irish society.

A source said, "It's unbelievable, this bloke goes on and on about people of colour destroying his culture and here he is now giving out about the most Irish of Irish things, the bread and butter of Irish culture, the GAA.
He hasn't a bleedin' clue, as far as I'm concerned he's a hypocrite and a joke".

We tried to contact the man in question, but he was unavailable. Another source said he was out protecting his culture, though no one knows what that actually means.

Pinch of salt, JIT... pinch of salt:

On one hand hates Muslims... on the other hand admires the teachings of the Quran and has voiced support for banning alcohol and making women wear masks.
On one hand hates immigrants... on the other frequently helps them, actively encouraging the importation of their extended families.
On one hand opposes British occupation of Norn Iron... on the other worships self proclaimed champion of the (British) Union and the British Monarchy, Donald Trump.
On one hand refers to dispatchers as gangsters... on the other there's one exception who he's described as a nice chap... in case you need reminding that'd be Gerry "the Monk" Hutch!

... need I go on?

Just saying. There does be an awful lot of contradiction in DMs contributions over time... not least the way he rounded on men working during the pandemic back in the summer but couldn't get behind the wheel quick enough when he became disqualified from puppy dole by reason of age. It's far from limited to opposing the one organisation that has been central to Irish culture since before the foundation of the free State while claiming to be concerned about the erosion of said culture.

Rodent Dollyer stands like a beacon among us .This time last year he was holding hands with his Jesus .struggled to hold on to life itself and almost  Lazzarien he has raised himself up embraced the Internationals help that set him on the road to recovery .Stood firm to his beliefs Supporting Dundalk in their European Struggles and like Lazarus himself he picked up his bed and walked .A more Iconic and resolute exponent of the Corinthian Spirit I have never encountered From his Deathbed to the PWC rank in a year .He should be admired not ridiculed for his Trojan Efforts and I salute him .

I know there was Academic rivalry that prevented me from receiving the Great Covid Egg Conundrum Prize but I think our Taxi Person of the year should go to Dalymount .When I use to walk by Paddy Masseys on the way to visit Big Dommo and get the smell of Embalming fluid it use to remind me of Dollyer just like the smell of freshly cut Grass and mackrel reminded me of summer nights with Sheilagh Shevlin from the flats in the fields behind the gaffs behind the gaffs near the flats .But that has all changed now ,when I hear the lilting tones of a drunk ballad singer in the Halfpenny Bridge arcade or a tin whistle player struggling to blow the Lonesome Boatman in key I think to meself God bless our culture shure where would we be without it and I often think of Dollyer and make a mental nod to meself without actually moving me head and think if Dollyer was here he would probably drop yer man 5 or ten cents into his cup of woe .
