I'd imagine there'll be casualties on both sides. The Republicans up north hit a few of Harris' men when he was directing shoot to  kill operations and suppressing enquiries in those parts and there's a big difference here. Whether by design or accident he's dealing with lives that matter. Peaceful protest will butter no spuds, to paraphrase the great Dr. Leo.

Ask some Gardai on the street what they think of him... maybe start in Dundalk! It was a political appointment, obviously picked for his experience in cover ups, corruption within the force was a big deal back then what with that grass that turned on them anall. I guess the rank and file have to do what they're told. Harris obviously gets a kick out of sending Fenians out to terrorise other Fenians complete with their UDA issue balaclavas anall.
