A warning has been issued to drivers to make sure their doors are locked at all times when motoring after another too close for comfort Dublin incident.

A pair of 'aggressive' Dublin thugs are said to have jumped a woman in a car from behind in an attempt to hijack her vehicle near the Red Cow Luas stop.

The incident took place on December 27 but others have reported similar experiences in the Clondalkin area by gangs as part of their scary method to steal.

One of the victims spoke out, sending a warning text alert around to others urging them to be aware of the newest operation targeting people at their most vulnerable, as they unsuspectingly sit motionless in the vechicle.

"Thankfully I had my doors locked and was able to quickly drive off but it was very frightening.
