Offie's to close ?

Is there a possibility that the offie's may close ?
South Africa did it last Monday but that is close on a police state and they could do it.

If they did close the Irish offie's they would have to bring it in overnight and announce it after 10pm.
And they could only close them fer a maximum of 2 weeks because after 2 weeks the bootleggers would have a supply chain on the go.

Also the North/South border would be a challenge to police.

Won't happen unless the Brits do it first. FFS, we were told "we" couldn't tax sugar until the Brits done it first!

They like to give advance warnings of closures,supermarkets will be jammed tomorrow even though they're not closing.

If they gave advance warning or even hinted that the offie's may close it would defeat the purpose as everyone would stock up Big time before they closed.

In South Africa they also banned the sale of cigarettes in the last lockdown
