vallence & mcgrath,

Had a few pints there, think it was around 93....fukin dump!!

Regarding Bartley Dunns....there's a new boozer in roughly the same spot called Bartleys.....but the old boozer was a great place Tony...especially when all the gay lads left for the George and Incognito.

I'd say by the time this pandemic has had it's fun....it'll be easier to name the pubs still open.

The Ferryman is the only boozer that i can thinkbof down that way....i remember drinking in it back in the 80's when i was a courier....wasn't the best of places but some of the couriers back then were fellas from the area and would never be messed with...some mad fuks altogether.
Are you thinking of the dockers?

No VD.....i drank in the Dockers,U2 and other rockers who were recording in Windmill Lane drank there,i think their stalkers were afraid to walk through the doors,

Another venue that was along that same stretch was The Waterfront...never really took off though.
The Waterfront was mad. Live music upstairs, and house music downstairs.

The Scotch house was a gay haunt in the 70s and 80s. My aunt May worked in the Cafe right beside the camera shop. The go-to person if there ever any bother was a guy nicknamed Mother!

Bob, you might remember, The pub in Mount Merrion, was it called the Sportsman's Inn?

Live band played there in winter, and in Refugio's in Ibiza in the summer. Their signature tune was Lola!
