I heare he had the pebble beach in Clontarf for a while dunno how true that was.

I always got on with both of them often gave Eamon a post dated cheque for a month or two in the future .He was a gent and so was young Eamon .Often asked him for coin for a job .As I said a Gent .

The Chariot was a good cabaret venue. I remember seeing the late Matt Monro there in the mid seventies. Happy memories.

my uncle worked with matt monro in luton at the vauxhall factory when his career had stalled.
he had a serious set of wesley snipes on him.
one of the greats if not the greatest.

Monro was a heavy smoker and battled alcoholism from the 1960s until 1981.[12][13] He died from liver cancer on 7 February 1985 at the Cromwell Hospital, Kensington, London,[14] aged 54, leaving a widow, Mickie, and three children: Mitchell, Michele, and Matthew. Mitchell, a professional pilot, also died of cancer in 2003. Matt Monro was cremated at Golders Green Crematorium. The ashes were removed by the family.[15] A memorial service was also held in Harrow.

Mortons in firhouse, earmarked for houses like across the road from Bridget burkes or the mill these days. Does anyone remember barn stormers  was in town on the lower queys somewhere,  an early shop in the 90's?  Alex Higgins was in there one morning playing pool, we were hanging.
