We definitely need higher taxation to fund a fully public health system... maybe we could call it slawntya care or something like that.
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

Higher taxes less spending power so less junkies .less alcoholics /less smokers .less food so less diabeties .Tax us back to health .I can see it now Daniel O donnell on the RTE doing an add for eat more vegtables and less red meat and Fr Brian Darcy telling us how lucky we are to have less we could be like the British living on Post Brexit UN food aid and bring back Thelma Mansfield to show us 26 ways to boil and eat Spuds .

As well as increased income tax and significantly increased tax on alcohol we need very significant taxation of air travel so less holidays which will equate to less money leaving the country, less pollution and the ability to maintain COVID '19 levels of civil service efficiency at airports.

A true socialist republic. Chucky our law.

You couldnt maintain the Civil Service efficiency levels achieved during Covid the cost to the exchequer ot wide screen tellys and Dogs would bankrupt the country .Never mind the extra smoke breaks enjoyed while working from home . Socialism is all right for the Socialists but the working stiff needs to pony up .We need some sort of Kabuts system Comrade .

I had a middle class upbringing, erm... so I can't claim to remember sharing baths or going hungry but we did have a shop in Dorset St in the 80s so I have some experience of the deprivation that prevailed in the inner city and how it was fuelled by the Heroin trade and jealously protected and preserved by certain 'republican' politicians.

The exchequer is already paying for, and benefitting from, vast improvements in efficiency at airports... and, more importantly, the country is starting to see the benefits as, for example, it becomes increasingly more difficult to import cocaine. We'll always have the middle classes who'll be able to afford holidays with realistic taxation so, post COVID, that will bring money into the equation. Even €500 per person per flight would pay for a lot of civil servants.

That's the Marxist Leninist utopia Sinn Fein were promising. Not a few people will be pissed off that all the time living in 5-star hotels and pretending to be homeless in front of council officials was for nowt!

The promised virtually free gaffs will be a distant dream.

Occi real poverty our neighbour had pigs .As kids we would chase them around his garden until they were sweating then we would wipe the sweat off of them wit a bit of usually stale bread we got out of the pig waste he use to collect around the doors .Bring it home and fry it on the pan and eat it .If you kept your eyes closed while you were eating you could imagine you were eating rashers .

You won't have any taste for rashers after you're vaccinated.

Fella with psoriasis goes into a pub and orders a bacon sandwich.

Barman says, sorry we don't serve rashers in here
