I sleuthed it out....there were phone numbers in the window of the tax office...which were fukall use cos nobody answered them...so i sent an email to motortax@louthcoco.ie,a lovely lady rang me to say that they were processing the forms and just pop it in the letterbox.

I did....taxed it for the year @€180...which is €85 more than Taxi motor tax.

That's crazy... the same price as a 1.6 diesel MKIII Octavia. Why is there no incentive for private motorists to go hybrid?
