did anybody else crack up laffin when it said he continued picking up fares with the front of the car in a fuckin hoop.
own up yiz cunts.
If he was a cnut heed of gotten the car home an garages or sumtin ....the fact he drove wit the car in that condition an the guards pulled him over is all indication he was in shock ......
Ide say this will be appealed but that judge is clearly a fuking
Dipso or somethin
Even taking into account the seriousness of the driver's crime, and not having a considered opinion on the sentence, I am surprised, and heartened, at your perspective on this tragedy, and weakness of the human condition.

Irish prisoners were paid more than €2.5 million in pocket-money in the first ten months of last year.

According to details released under the Freedom of Information Act, inmates received a further €4.3 million in gifts from their family and friends in all of 2019.

There are more than 4,000 prisoners in 13 jails across the state.

Every inmate receives a daily allowance from the Irish Prison Service which they can spend to buy items in the tuck shop.

The standard daily rate is €1.70 but this rises to €2.20 for well-behaved prisoners and is cut to 95 cents for bad behaviour.

Inmates can also get additional payments of up to €3.50 per week for working in areas such as prison kitchens or laundries.

In the first ten months of last year, more than €2.5 million was paid under these schemes.

John Lonergan, a former governor of Mountjoy Prison, says the daily allowances are far too low.

"The basic one is less than €7 a week per prisoner and the second grade is around €11 per prisoner a week," said Mr Lonergan.

"But when you take it that a pack of cigarettes alone would cost around €11, I think that puts it into perspective.

"The global figure is misleading the sense that it is a gross figure and the public might feel that that is a huge amount of money but in actual fact it is a very, very tiny amount of money."

In all of last year, prisoners received a further €4.35 million in gifts from family and friends.

Inmates in the country's largest jail - Midlands Prison - received nearly €871,000 while those in Mountjoy Prison - the second biggest - got more than €805,000.

Think about it, A state pension, your earnings in prison, and the rent from the taxi while he's inside  and he might be able to retire AGAIN  8)

The deceased man walked from the city centre to the entrance of the airport, about 5km,  where he sadly was knocked down as he crossed through hedges and straight onto the main airport exit road. I personally know the driver involved and sadly, his behaviour was unacceptable, he drove down to the bottom of the airport hill, around the roundabout and back up, then straight down again, slowing, but not stopping at the scene of the tragedy, as he approached the bottom of the airport hill he received a job offer from the Kingsley hotel going to the airport, and knowing the personality of the guy, that was something he couldn’t refuse, “a handy job”.... after dropping his next fare he came upon a checkpoint a little after the incident scene, where he was arrested. It appears that his main concern a few days later was that his car being impounded, he couldn’t access his credit docket book to claim his credit payments from his base. That’s all I know about the situation.

Maybe they were filming The Walking Dead...
If it doesn't have a roof sign and door stickers it's not a taxi.

I remember this as a kid, maybe Korky could write a buke:
One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead men got up to fight,
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other,

One was blind and the other couldn't, see
So they chose a dummy for a referee.
A blind man went to see fair play,
A dumb man went to shout "hooray!"

A paralysed donkey passing by,
Kicked the blind man in the eye,
Knocked him through a nine inch wall,
Into a dry ditch and drowned them all,

A deaf policeman heard the noise,
And came to arrest the two dead boys,
If you don't believe this story's true,
Ask the blind man he saw it too! 8)

It was Christmas time, he attended a Christmas party in the city, he failed to get a cab, he had a room in the international hotel in the cork airport business park, he walked the 5km to the airport. There’s nothing “shit” about the facts of what happened.
